Milwaukee

Almost 40 pounds of roast beef were devoured by the same number of Dartmouth men and their wives at our annual picnic, August 23. The outing featured a crippling game of baseball, vast amounts of food and a barrel of Milwaukee's best known product (courtesy of Blatz and Etnil Hokanson '32). Paul Van Antwerpen '35 was our host at his home on the Port Washington Road. Many undergraduates turned out for the picnic and we hope that more of them will take part in alumni functions when they are home during vacations.

On September 8 the regular weekly luncheon at the Town Club honored the men of the class of '56, and about 20 alumni were there to welcome the new men.

Since Eddie Chamberlain '36 from Hanover had time to stop over in Milwaukee on September 16, the regular Monday luncheon was changed that week so that we could have an opportunity to hear news from Hanover and have him as our guest.

All Wisconsin alumni are asked to reserve November 15 for the annual joint meeting with Cornell to listen to the football game. Last year they outnumbered us let's not have that happen again! The meeting is scheduled for 12:00 noon at the University Club in Milwaukee. Upstate alumni please note and plan to be with us.
