The midwinter meeting of the Massachusetts Bar Association to be held in Greenfield on February 13 will be addressed by the Honorable F. Anthony Hanlon. The Judge will have "Probate Developments" as his subject. Readers of this column will realize that Tony is much in demand as a public speaker.

Nick and Louise Carter have announced the engagement of their daughter Sally to E. Perkins Gould of Marblehead, Mass. Sally is a graduate of the Mary A. Burnham School, Penn Hall Junior College and Ohio Wesleyan University. Her fiance is completing his studies at the University of Maine after having served with the Army in Korea.

Olie Olsen has a leave of absence for the second semester in order to give his full time as director of the Commission on University Education in Hospital Administration to the study which is scheduled to be completed August 1. It means a great deal of travel by Olie between now and June.

Andy Heath, research director of the New Hampshire State Planning and Development Board, attended the meeting in Boston on January 29 of the National Association of Travel Organizations. On the agenda was discussion of plans for legislation making certain non-religious holidays fall on Mondays. This seems to your scribe to be a good idea even if the motive of that organization is the ulterior one of seeking to increase tourist business.

The Paul Peters made two trips to Hanover in January. Investigation probably would show that their visits coincided with scheduled hockey games.

The Class of 1922 is well represented by sons presently at Dartmouth as is evidenced by the following tabulation:

A brief news item concerning the birth of a grandchild led to an exchange of correspondence with Bob Almy. His nice reply to my letter of inquiry came just in time to make this edition. In addition to an interesting letter, Bob sent me a sheet on which he had affixed snap shots of his home and the attractive female members of his household consisting of Eleanor's mother, Eleanor, daughter Natalie Almy Roll, daughter Judith and granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Roll born May 28, 1952, at Biloxi, Miss. The baby's father is in Korea. Bob is a veteran of the faculty of Miami University, Oxford, O., and has been chairman of the English department the last five years.

This will serve as a reminder of the informal reunion at Hanover the weekend of March 13-15. Unfortunately, this column for the March issue can not be held open to catch the names of those who make plans to attend as a result of the notice given in the February column. We hope there will be many such. It is suggested that this should be a particularly attractive event for 1922 parents of current undergraduates. Add Spenny and MargeSmith to the list of those who will be there. Olie Olsen has rearranged his itinerary in order to be in Hanover that weekend so he and Elspeth can join us. Even when you read these notes there still will be time to make your reservations but it won't be safe to put it off any longer.
