Your reunion committee is picking up speed. Chairman Andy Murtha gathered with ex-officio members Bob Kimball and JackWhitman at my house Yale-Dartmouth weekend. Andy is readying a questionnaire to go to all members. He wants to determine a first reaction from the return group to start figuring our total reuners. Andy has DaveWeld (he and Jean are recent parents of a new baby girl, their second, Lesley Anne) and Andy Gruninger lined up as committee members. Others will be tagged by letter, phone or vis-a-vis in very near future. Plans call for a wives committee to do some good "never-underestimate-the-power-of" work. Joe Poole's farm is under consideration for a Saturday picnic-baseball-and-beer-outing. Joe's place is in Norwich, out of reach of Hanover law.

Besides the serious planning indicated above, which was actually transacted through the medium of a "whump on the rocks" in the smoke-filled rooms of "Sweeney Towers" right after the Yale game, we had one really great '46, and other nearby class, gatherings. Aud and Vel Brindley were very much aboard. Aud had on a green "Madison Avenue Crash Helmet." The genial "swish, good-for-2" Brindley is now a merchandising and account executive on Campbell's Soup for 'lil 'ol BBDO in N.Y.C. Matter of fact it's Soup-on-the-Rocks as regular fare at the Brindley's new home in Darien, Conn. King Coal FrankEttari and Pat were there and how. Frank's a VP of the Dexter-Carpenter Coal Co. of N. Y. and they are expecting their fourth child. This is an inside joke, but anytime you want your plumbing repaired on a Saturday night, call in Ettari. He locks himself in, and lays out on the floor and really gives the fittings, pipes and drains complete attention, - tends to drowse at his job at times, but generally good work is done. (Where is my Abe Lincoln Stovepipe hat, Frank?)

Bob Kimball collected dues at the main portal — heand Jackie still the honeymooners. Growler Whitman and Jean were in their usual top rollicking form. Jack broke out the outdoor grill in the parking lot at New Haven and grilled a fast 65 weiners for the assembled guests. Not forgetting his earlier dining room training as Tuck School's famous "Maitre D," he hawked these for a low low 50¢ on a stick, 75$ with roll. Class fund is up somewhat. Jean is recovering from her 550 personal letters to our class for the Alumni Fund. Jean probably knows more names in our class than Chief Andy Ferguson. Saw Don Barr, the sage of the North Country, now living in Providence, buying football tickets. Don is geared to round up the greater Providence area group for the Tenth. Knox Phagan was in Canada for the weekend, converting dollars for the Chemical Corn Bank. Toni, his good wife, brought us up to date on the famous Phagans of 545 Wigwam. Thanks to a really advance purchase of rush seats we all sat in back of the West Rock which overlooks the Bowl and with a 30-power telescope we were just able to bring the green turf of the field into view at kick-off time. Due to these seats I might have missed seeing the big group that was back. Please let me hear from the rest of you if I failed to report accurately.

Ad Age, rag of the ad biz, gives the good news that Dough Leigh has joined Kudner Agency in N. Y. as art director. Doug was formerly at Campbell Ewald. We are hoping to have Doug lend some of that talent to our Tenth promotion stuff.

Over in good old East Orange, N. J., the D.A.A. of Northern N. J. held a gigantic and very successful Smoker. Herald Trib Sports Writer Irv Marsh gave the boys a little pep talk on Ivy football, very well received. AndyMurtha sent me the '46s present. Incidentally our Class had the biggest turnout, '46 Up. Them that was thar: Andy Gruninger, BillDavidson, Bob Norriss, Dave Weld, Jack (BayHead) Koerniger, Jack Van Cleve, Dick Morse and Gil McDowell. They had beaucoup beer, snacks and a hot piano, all for $2.50. Other areas should take a leaf out of this book. BobJones is now Asst. Prof, of Political Science at St. Joseph's College in Phila. Jonesy was a Wall Street, Irving Trust man. Now with pockets full, he joins the swing to the academic world. Good news, Bob, and good luck. Jim and Arie Lynch just had a baby boy, Jim '76; they are now in their new home in Norwalk, Conn.

This is Alumni Fund report issue so have to shorten up on the notes. Any ideas or volunteers for reunion committee please write AndyMurtha, 441 Park Ave., East Orange, N. J. Merry Christmas! See you on this stand next month.
