Old skier Hy Lumbard finally tied the knot! The lucky bride was Jackie Campbell of Mechanics Falls, Maine, and Lasell Junior College. Hy is in the shoe manufacturing business and they are now at home at 20 Allen Ave., Auburn, Maine, after a three-week trip to the West Indies - there's no snow down there, Hy!...Len Swett is in sales work for the McCallum Motor Service Company in Hartford. He will be attached to a large new branch his company recently opened. Len attended Tuck, received his law degree from the University of Connecticut and practiced several years before joining the McCallum Company. As you may know, Len was seriously disabled in the Navy in W. W. II and is to be admired for his educational and business achievements....Dr. Bert Schwartz, practicing psychiatry in Montclair, N. J., has been doing a goodly amount of public speaking in the Jersey City area of late. Bert spent four years on a psychiatry fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., before returning to Jersey.
Two '46's have announced their intentions of tying the knot - The Rev. George Razee will marry Miss Nancy Foote Griggs of Woodbridge, Conn., this summer. Nancy is a graduate of Wheelock College in Boston and is a schoolteacher. George is serving as curate at Christ Church, Stratford, Conn. The other '46 to leave the bachelor ranks is Rex Sleighter who will marry Ruth Rose of Briarcliff Manor, N. Y„ and Pine Manor Junior College in the spring. Rex is president of Whitehouse and Hardy of New York City. Congrats to them and their brides to be.
Dr. Fred Eadie has also been doing some after dinner speaking in the Norwich, Conn., area. Fred is in practice there, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. He graduated from Tufts Medical School and took his internship and residency at Cincinnati General Hospital and the University of lowa, respectively. ...Dune Fitchet, the old geologist, who was a Marine colonel's dream, has been appointed general manager of Rand McNally's creative division. Dune joined the firm in 1946 and was the first trainee in the company's executive training; most recently he has been assistant to President Andrew McNally, III. Here's a guy who really came out of college and used his major subject with success.
