Dear Gang - All of a sudden it's fall, backto-work time and football weather. The family and I just returned from Chi, and while in the Windy City, spent some time with "Wild Bill" Davidson. Bill, Phoebe, and their three little ones (including three-year-old twin future Dartmouths) live in Highland Park and very near Lake Michigan. We spent some time sailing, in which sport old Bill is quite an expert, and enjoyed the Davidsons' hospitality. They have been in Chicagoland about three years where Bill is District Group Manager for New England Life with seven young stalwarts on his staff, working with the midwest agencies for the company.

46's in the News —Ben Homan has joined the executive staff of Hoffman, York, Paulson and Gerlach, Milwaukee advertising agency, as vice president and senior account supervisor. Ben had previously been in the game with several other agencies and spent some time working for the Department of Agriculture before he got into advertising. His home is in Wilmette, Ill We recently reported about Gene Cafiero's rise up the ladder as #2 man at the huge Chrysler plant at Twinsburg outside Cleveland. Recently, Gene was featured in a sizable biographical sketch in the Akron Beacon Journal - It was entitled "He Climbs by Building Other Men.".. . Julie Cohen has recently been nominated to the Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salesmen of Greater Boston. Julie has been in the real estate business in the Boston area for a dozen years and resides in Brookline.... Paul Bristol is now District Manager of Northern Vermont for the Berkshire Life in Burlington. Paul has been in the insurance business for some time and was with Connecticut General in Group Sales be- fore this appointment.... Dick Butler has joined Lever Brothers as broadcast media manager. Dick has been in advertising since 1947 with A. C. Nielsen Company.... Down in Dallas, Dave Clark has left the mortgage loan division of the Travelers Insurance Company to become affiliated with the Jerry Frey Mortgage Company. Dave has had ten years' experience in the mortgage loan field and for the past two years has been in Milwaukee in this business... . Bob Hailer was recently appointed advertising and sales promotion manager for Ludlow Papers, Inc. of Needham Heights.... After eleven years with BBDO, Ken Hurd has joined Ellington and Company Advertising Agency, as a vice president and account executive.

46's Around Our Town - Recent visitors to Dayton have included Jim Wycoff on church business. Jim is vice president of the Bank of Geneva in Geneva, N. Y.... "Burrhead"'Carl Peterson in town on business recently although I missed him.. .. Jud Hannigan and Russ Chase ('45) both with International Paper and doing work at our McCall Corporation ....; Bill Carlson's father is in our fair city in the general insurance business and reports that Bill is in the State Department and has just moved from Costa Rica to Washington, D. C.

We'd like to give a resounding Wah Hoo Wah for the fine job that Bill Schulting and his co-workers did in the Capital Gifts Cam- paign.

Your officers and executive committee did not meet this summer but plan a meeting in New York some time this fall. Any ideas of interest are certainly welcome and Ted Fajen is already hard at work on plans for our 15th reunion in 1962 and is always delighted to have suggestions and/or comments.
