This month it looks like leftovers, a time to catch up and offer a few suggestions.

Since October 1, 1956, Ted Briggs has been at the Dept. of State as a Foreign Service Officer, Class 8. He's a research assistant in the Office of Inter-American Affairs and will be for about two years. On January 24, Sally Briggs ("The Mrs.") presented papa with a son, Everett Barnard Briggs, future class of 1978.

The Bruce Holts now live at 2211 South 75th St., West Allis, Wis. Bruce says Milwaukee is a pretty clean town and loaded with breweries. They all serve free beer. (This is a paid announcement.)

Don Hamson wed Miss Denise Laking, March. 2. Don is an ensign in the U.S.N.R.

Larry Scammon and Miss Lois Howk became partners in January. The couple are now making their home in Hanover while Larry finishes up-his graduate studies at Dartmouth.

A June wedding is planned for Bill Sherman and Joan Knight. The bride-elect is a senior at Smith College. Bill is stationed at the Naval Training Center, Bainbridge, Md.

Miss Joanne Dembo and Don Davidoff were recently married. The bride is a graduate of Russell Sage College. Don will attend Albany Law School in the fall.

August will mate Fred Englebach and Miss Barbara Warriner. The prospective bride attended Skidmore College and is a student at the Katherine Gibbs School in New York. At present Fred is studying at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N. Y.

Bill Miles happily responded to my request for some news and gave some clues as to the activities of several classmates. Don Merriott has been on active duty with the Air Force since October. He is a graduate of an ammunitions school in Denver and just recently spent a 30-day leave prior to being shipped to England. Second Lt. Tom Burris has been sent to the pearl of the Orient, Korea. Hugh Manchester was married to the former Miss Joan Fowler in a home town wedding at Youngstown, 0., in late September. After a couple of months honeymoon in Europe, they reported for a three year Air Force hitch.

Bob Kaiman is now living in an ex-patriot hotel in Paris. He went to Europe with intentions of studying the French Language. However, after three months he's deeply engrossed in Judo lessons and speaking virtually no French! Dick Groeseneld who is in Aberdeen, Scotland, was last seen on the way to the laundry with the clothing he's been wearing during his first month in Europe. Bob Picken, Paul Berry, and Al Levenson, all at Oxford, celebrated Dartmouth Night together. Tom Riker received his commission upon completion of sixteen weeks training as an Aviation Officer Candidate in Pre-Flight at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla. He is now undergoing primary flight training at the Sanfley Field Naval Auxiliary Air Station. Art Bailey is also located around these here parts.

Pvt. Norm Angell was graduated from the clerk-typist course at the Army's Armor Training Center, Fort Knox, Ky. Bill Malcolm is another Pensacola boy just through his basic training program.

Pat Shea announced her engagement to Don Dillon last month. Pat is a teacher at Saugus Memorial High School in Saugus, Mass. Don is now attending Dartmouth Medical School and plans to enter Harvard Medical School in September. Bride-to-be Jean Brennen plans to wed Tom Rosenwald in the near future. John Di Noto seems content at St. John's University while carrying on his pre-med studies. Since last June he has put the diamond on Miss Patricia Spitznagel.

The 42nd Dartmouth Alumni Fund campaign runs from April 1 to June 30 of this year. Watch the dates and watch your purse - you know what to do from here. So long and keep healthy.
