'48 OUT! That's the theme for this issue with our Bigger and Better Reunion just a few days off. It is not too late. There's always room for more at the tent for reminising and regaling. If you've been putting it off, take some action right away and we'll see you there.

Got a real fine news bit about Dave Jones who is public information manager for the atomic power equipment department of the General Electric Company. Dave took graduate work at the University of Toronto and joined General Electric in 1952 after being supervisor of information and graphic activity at Knolls Atomic Power laboratory.

Rev. Dick Bredenberg returned to the campus of Alfred University in February to speak on Religious Emphasis Day. He is the university's chaplain, now on leave of absence at Drew University studying for his Ph.D. degree.

As we dug out the battered portable this month, it was with the rather sad realization that these are the last words we'll be putting into this column and it was a bit of a blow. We've frankly lost track of the time when we started due to the relocation of those originally assigned but can say that the real enjoyment has more than cancelled out the few hours each month required to get the column out. Although there are some in the class whom we scarcely know and others just nodding acquaintances, the letters that have come in over the years full of warmth and interest have invited us into many homes we'd have missed otherwise. When we moved to Tomahawk Lane, we were accused of playing a big hoax on the rest of the Indians. The birth announcements, Christmas cards, postal cards from all over the world - all of these have woven a familiar Dartmouth fabric in our lives that we wouldn't exchange for anything. For all this we thank you for the opportunity and for bearing with us through bitter and bet ter as the column may have been.

With the milestone of our tenth reunion about to be passed, we look forward to a new hand at the pen to replace this exhausted old rooster. We hope we'll see most of you in Hanover. For those of you who can't make reunion, we thank you for your help and solicit more of the same for our successor.

We would also remind you that there is a short time only til the 1958 Alumni Fund winds up. Russ Carlson is shooting for a record by reunion time so please get your check in the mail today if you've been letting it slide.

Bye now! See you in Hanover.
