Bob Long arrived at Wilkes Station, Antarctica, February 19, 1957, and expects to leave this month for good old U.S.A. He had been doing ionosphere and cosmic ray research. Dean Sheldon has just completed eight weeks of basic combat training under the Reserve Forces Act program at Fort Knox, Ky.

Roger Schumacher and Miss Sharon Lee Johnson were married recently. The couple took a trip to Norfolk, Va., where they eventually will make their home.

On December 30, Margaret Swanson and Ensign Harold Lee Smith became Mr. and Mrs. At present, Lee is a Navy pilot stationed in San Diego, Calif.

Miss Beverly Ann Noseworthy became engaged gagedto Ensign John A. Wilcox. John is now serving aboard the U.S.S. Chewaucan in the Mediterranean area.

Let's hop around and see what some of the rest are doing these days. Foster Aborn is a management trainee with Mellon Bank, Pittsburgh, Penna. Fred Abraham received his MA. in Psychology from the University of Michigan this past summer and is now working for his Ph.D. John Cole is a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin. Tom Conlon is at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and Dan Daniels is at Harvard Law. Jose Demori is a classification and compensation analyst with Creole Petroleum Corp., La Salina-Edo Zulia, Venezuela. Warren Fellingham is a private assigned to Hq. and Hq. Co. Sp. Troops 3461, Ft. Rucher, Ala. Glenn Gardner is a med student at the University of Missouri. John Gwynn is an American Vice Consul at the American Consulate General, Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Bill King enjoys trainee status with General Electric Co., in Nahant, Mass. Harry Nutting is assigned to the U.S.S. Uhlmann (DD-687), Fleet Post Office, San Francisco, Calif. Wood Sutton is a manufacture trainee, Cummins Engine Co., Columbus, Ind. George Magone is an automobile salesman in New Jersey. George Records is the proud papa of a baby girl, Kathryn Claire. He's been discharged from the Service and has returned to Oklahoma. John Gorman is undertaking law studies at the University of Connecticut. Howard Green and Art Kieger both enjoy med school at Harvard.

Now hear this! You'll find addresses of some of the '56ers serving in the Service. Most of them would enjoy a welcome letter from youse to get away from the daily routine of things.
