1956's Fifth Reunion June 17-18-19

Recently, Bob Dumont took over as reunion chairman for our First in June. During the past month several powwows have taken place at the Dumont residence. A large nucleus of '56 in and around the "Bean City" of Massachusetts, have worked hard to give ample momentum to plans for the June reunion. Please, everyone, read thoroughly all the mail you receive concerning the reunion. Send Bob a prompt reply as to your intentions on attending, etc. This is damn important if we are to guess right on reservations, food and "possible" lubricants.

A tip of the hat to Jim Flynn for his tremendous efforts in the past on behalf of the Alumni Fund. George Yeager is our new class agent this year. Let's all do our part to insure a good return from the '56 gang. This year we hope to reach out and hit our objective through those who were not included in the Capital Gifts Campaign of last year. Surprisingly, some 350 of us were not among the well-wishers last year. Here's hoping a generous percentage of the above fit a contribution into their 1960 budget.

Bob Danziger and family have recently moved back to Boston from Los Angeles where he was assistant sales manager for Knapp Shoe Corporation. Bob is now associated with Bunny Bear, Inc., a large manufacturer of juvenile furniture and accessories. His position is Merchandise Manager in charge of advertising, sales promotion, and customer relations. The Danziger mailbox reads 112 Rowe St., Auburndale, Mass.

This past February 20, Dick Hlavoc married Jacqueline Anson in New Zealand. The young groom hopes to enter teaching, but may remain in the Navy for a year.

This past December The Right Reverend Craine, the Bishop of Indianapolis, ordained to the Sacred Order of Priests, The ReverendRaymond Stewart Wood Jr., in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Columbus, Ind.

Pete Harpending was among 476 in New York State admitted to the state bar. Pete will be associated with the firm of Teeter, Harpending, Fox and Swartwood. He is married to the former Joan C. Fantasia and has one child.

Chuck Beard and Elizabeth Lanphier became Mr. and Mrs. recently. Upon their return from a trip to New Orleans, La., and Florida, Chuck resumed his business activities with the Henson Robinson Company.

Charles Honig has graduated from New York Law School. Chuck is married to the former Janice Cohen of New York City.

Norm Fridlund and Priscilla Sager have announced their engagement. Norm is serving in New London, Conn., as a Lieutenant, junior grade, in the Navy.

Another recent "Perry Mason," Dick Woodhouse, passed the Conn. State Bar examina- tions. He is, at present, connected with the firm of Rubinow and La Belle. Dick received his law degree from Harvard last year.

Come June Daphne Lawrence and Lt. (j.g.) John Hubbard, USN, will become Mr. and Mrs. The following month Marian Pye and Gordie Lend join the married group. Gordie is on the faculty of the Suffield (Conn.) Academy.

Harold Daries is a trainee with Aetna Casualty and Surety. Company, Hartford, Conn. Leonard Kimball holds the post of accounting manager with New England Tel. and Tel. Co., Portland, Me. Pete Huhn is an instructor, Naval School of Pre-Flight, Pensacola, Fla.

And two more engagements to round out the column before closing. First, a July wedding is planned for Audrey-Gene Dubow and Bill Woodson. Bill is working for a Master's degree at the New York University Graduate School of Business Administration. Elizabeth Woodbury and Ed Rowe wind out the last engagements.

Don't forget to give quick response to your reunion questionnaire and your 1960 Alumni Fund Campaign.
