We join with George Halgh and Ed Parsons (sipping a "cool one" in Lima, Peru) in saying "Cheers." In other words, welcome back to this corner where the news of '53 is all the news fit to print.
Ed Parsons wrote that in the spring George and Joanie Halgh, returning from a two-year assignment in Sao Paulo, Brazil, dropped in on Ed who is now a permanent resident of Lima. The Haighs were on their way back to Toledo, Ohio, where George holds the job of assistant export sales manager of the De Vilbiss Co. Ed states "still single after five years' residence among the Latin beauties, and have recently entered the growing field of industrial financing, after serving four years with the W. R. Grace organization as market research analyst." Ed included his best to all the Class and hopes to be back for the 10th reunion.
Here's a welcome word from Dave Hallorau - "The period from graduation to April 1957 was pretty well occupied with the U. S. Navy. Julie, the former Julia Ann Boehringer, Briarcliff, and I were married in April 1955, just after receiving my wings. We spent two delightful years in the Pensacola area. After the service I took a position with Douglass Aircraft Company in Los Angeles. For the past two years I have been in the military marketing side of the business and recently was transferred back to our Washington, D. C., office as Assistant Washington representative - Navy Programs." Within the past year Dave and Julie also have had a young son, Michael Patrick, and Dave received his M.B.A. at the University of Southern California.
