I never thought I'd meet the deadline on this one. I'm just back on my schedule again after two weeks of delightful rousing and revelry, featuring the benevolency of Santa Clans and many fine Dartmouth reunions — quite common at vacationtime in this part of the country. Starting off the season was the annual Dartmouth luncheon in Denver which was attended by some 120 seniors from high schools throughout the area. Later in the day, a congenial group of alumni, undergraduates, and their wives or dates gathered at the University Club of Denver to tip a few. Most invigorating. To get back on more common ground, however, I've been receiving a lot of interesting '58 news lately. And so, with the fates still willing and censors obliging, we will begin to roll.

The following first-year junior counselors are reportedly enrolled at the Stanford Law School: Bill Sarantopoulos, Paul Robertson,Tom Maguire, Joe Livermore, Jim Meeker,Phalen Hurewitz and Bill Breer '57. In the class ahead of them are Monte Pascoe and Dick Leavitt, both '57s. At Harvard Law School is Leon Goodrich. Dave Glendinning's a pastoral assistant at the Calvary Episcopal Church of Danvers, Mass. He's also a junior at the Episcopal Theological School in Cambridge. Doug Pease is on the Washington "Star" staff in Washington, D. C. Regret to report that Bill Yahr, now in the Med. School in Hanover, accidentally shot himself in the leg while putting his revolver back in its holster. Brutal facts require pretty brutal reporting you know. At any rate, Bill was in Dick's House last I heard and recovering rapidly, I hope.

Received a welcome letter from class agent, Stu Gord, the other day, in which he reported, among other things, that he and Barbara LeBuhn were married on Dec. 27. Stu's been down at the Navy Supply School in Athens, Ga., since the middle of June, but has now transferred to a destroyer, "The Laws," based in San Francisco. There's envy written all over my face, you Cords. Following is some of the news that Stu passed on.

Phil Bell, who was Stu's best man, has completed his Marine basic training at Quantico and has applied for duty in Okinawa. Phil must have got the place mixed up with Tahiti or else must desire the insular life in the extreme. Good luck to you at any rate. Seems that Stu has run me into a little SAE monopoly here, but nevertheless, I will go on. Skip Louis's going to be or already is on a destroyer out of Norfolk, having also been down at Athens with Stu. Bob Gilges is now out of Navy OCS and has been assigned to a minesweeper, "The Dominant," operating along the East coast. He expects to leave for the Mediterranean in April. Wish to apologize to Phil and Marcia Drescher for not getting their wedding announcement in the column for so long. Dresch, you old rascal, you might have written. Houdini slips up again. Ray Robbins is on a minesweeper, as is Dresch. Bill Van Law and wife (the former Judy Wenger), who were married several weeks ago, were last seen in Charleston, S. C. A big hello to you people. Hope to get you off a line in the near future. Also heard that Rog Rice was in the same vicinity and contemplating the marital state.

I understand that Bill Caley was married to Ann Cavill on Dec. 27, John Trimble attending in some capacity. Also heard for the first time that Pete Olsen was married to Sue Stocking last summer. Pete's now on a DDR based in San Diego. Sorry to report thatLarry Weltin was involved in an accident while down at Quantico. It appears that a friend was driving Larry's new car and fell asleep at the helm. Demolished the car but Larry fortunately came out pretty much unscathed.

A picture received recently concerning SamSmith's wedding gave ample evidence that a Dartmouth man can look good even with a champagne glass in his hand. Sam and Robin Ann Miesem were married last summer in Summit, N. J. After honeymooning in Bermuda (where they happened to see Otto andSally Wagenbach) they returned to Rochester, N. Y., where Sam's at the University of Rochester Med. School along with three other '58s: Lee Wight, Phil Stoddard, and JackDevany.

A few other wedding announcements include that of Gary Finerty who married Judy Alfano in Milton, Mass., last November. They now make their home in Wollaston. Just after he was commissioned as an ensign in the Coast Guard, John Bennett was married to Patricia Chilton in a ceremony at Ridgewood, N. J. Also married recently were Dave Harwood and Margaret Halsted at Manchester, Vt. Bob Gebhardt was Dave's best man while John Ceely and Ted Harris ushered. A few days ago in Denver, Cynthia Ann Bauer became the bride of Bud Rauscher. Bud's just completing work for his Master's Degree at the University of Denver. The other night I talked to an old Denver cronie of mine, Pete Williamson only to discover that it was really true. Pete was married to Sue Kettering of Hinsdale, Ill. only a few weeks ago. Best of luck, old Pedro. I'm with you all the way and look forward to seeing you and Sue out in 'Rado land very soon.

A highly disorganized bunch of stuff this month, I fear, but I hope it got to you. How are all those New Year resolutions coming along?
