Fifty-five alumni, undergraduates (including '67's) and their dads attended our annual Freshmen Send-Off Dinner on Wednesday evening, September 5. Sophomore TonyMuller '66 served up an intriguing blend of wit and wisdom on the Hanover scene for the Pea Greens and their dads. The group then viewed the new set of slides on the College and the "1962 Football Highlights" film.

Coming up on Saturday afternoon, October 5 (which will probably be in the past by the time you read this), immediately after the Penn football game, is another one of those fabulous "mummy room" cocktail parties at the University of Pennsylvania Museum. We hope that it's a good day in all respects and that you drink heartily - profits go to our Club Scholarship Fund.

During the spring and summer months, the story was Dartmouth out-of-doors in the Philadelphia area. Our Softball team did not do that well in the Interclub League, but then we frequently fielded an eight-man team. If you've got the talent, how about being that ninth man next season.

On Wednesday afternoon, May 22, 16 alumni duffers tackled the famous championship East course at Merion Golf Club. RayEvans '48 had the low gross of 83; BobBoyd '54, the low net of 72 (Calloway system). Jack McAvoy '28 copped the prize for the longest drive; Jim Tindle '36, for the drive that came closest to the pin. DeLongMonahan '24 was the host member.

Our annual Family Picnic came up on Saturday, June 29, at Hugh Kenworthy Jr.'s('41) Sycamore Farm in Chester Springs. As perhaps 150 alumni, families, undergraduates, and dates gathered, the clouds threat- ened. Club President Rev. Jim McElroy '31, in charge of weather, saw the handwriting on the wall and hastily departed. Apres le deluge, which scattered the crowd to cars and Hugh's house and barn, the party resumed. A good time was had by all.
