'Tis the season to be jolly, we're told, and since there is little else to tell this month, we can handle the news with dispatch and go right about the shopping, card sending, and socializing. So far no reports have filtered in regarding pre-game football activities (wonder why?) and lo! nary a papoose has graced our tepee during the last moon. None that we've heard about, anyhow. So, let's check 0ut....

INKADENTAL INTELLIGENTZ

Ray King has been appointed an assistant manager in the Hartford service office of the Insurance Company of North America. Ray's been a special agent with INA since 1951. Eastward in the Bay State, Ben Shaver has been made an account executive in the group annuity sales and service division of John Hancock in Boston. "Red" has ten years' experience in group pensions and sports the honor of C.L.U.

Don Hyatt's impressive and enjoyable Project 20 series are continuing to receive rave notices. Readers of the August 27 TV Guide found a four-page story about Don and his programs. This season's fare includes treatments of Will Rogers, "Those Ragtime Years" and "The Real West."

Bob Woody had a fine story last winter in the Salt Lake City Tribune describing the "hoppy-copper" rescue of five persons near Ely, Nev. It was a fascinating description of a harrowing situation.

Capt. Sam Jefferson's bailiwick is in the vicinity of Cornwall, N. Y., these days. Phil H. Chase is a psychologist for manpower development and personnel research activities at Pillsbury in Minneapolis. Dave Sleeper has the title of assistant professor of marketing at Kent State University's business college in Ohio. Jim Laing is a pedagog of English at the Milwaukee Country Day School. New neighbor is Dave "Scat" Luce who long ago (three years) earned his Ph.D. in philosophy. Doctor, we have goofed badly and apologize publicly though perhaps too late to avoid raising the collective eyebrow of your associates!

While rallying around the flagon, boys, we might mention a most worthwhile luncheon meeting of the Tuck Schoolers in Chicago on October 26. Admiral Herb Ray arranged for the use of his, well partly his, yacht club and some 45 biz men attended including John Schalles, Jim Stevens, and Hugh Brower. Dean Karl Hill '38 gave a comprehensive report of the goals and activities planned for future tycoons, and the consensus was that we were lucky to snuck through when we did. Not really, though, as the program has been improved tremendously on many counts and should give former Tuck Terrors a feeling of pride in its ambitious scope.

Glenn Blood is in the labor relations department of Kroger and Company, Cincybased grocery chain. Bill Greenhill has been named manager of a new travel agency on St. Armands Key, Fla. For the last year he operated a similar agency near Sarasota. Bill spent six years with United Airlines in Cleveland and New York, but it seems anybody who's in St. Armands would want to stay there. How do you get them to travel, Bill?

The new sales representative in eastern Pennsylvania for Stanley Hardware, a division of The Stanley Works, is Harry Bristoll. He is responsible for both contract hardware and stock hardware sales in that area. Previous to his new appointment, Harry spent three years in The Stanley Works' market research department in New Britain, Conn., and most recently he worked on special assignments for the hardware division's marketing managers. Harry and his family are making their new home at 232 Rosedale Ave., Strafford, Pa.

Congratulations to Sam Vitt who is a vice prexy for Doherty, Clifford, Steers and Shenfield, Inc. Sam was made media director for that ad agency in October.

Gerry Breyton is principal flight test engineer for Republic Aviation Corp. at Elgin AFB, Fla. Orbit, anyone? ... Fred Federlein is assistant manager for Hysen Supplies, Inc., in Niagara Falls. ... Bill Lambert was recently made warehouse superintendent by A. & P. in Youngstown, Ohio.

Dave Bull is with the San Franciscan law firm of Severson, Zang, Werson, Berke and Larson. Time to trot out the old chestnut about suitcases falling down stairs which was said about Batten-Barton-Benner-and-Beane, or someone. Joe Hendrich is not leading a dual life or playing counterspy, but he doubles in brass as partner in the Joseph Howard Music Studio and as public relations director for the Cleveland Better Business Bureau. Come to think of it, that's a piano, not a trombone, eh? ... and giving a nod toward the nog, up the chimney he rose, saying, "Happy Christmas to All . . . and to all a Good Night!"
