A brief nostalgic touch: It seemed hardly any time since we were looking forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary. Yet at our annual mid-July reunion our thoughts went forward to next year's 60th. Our numbers will be fewer than we could wish, but we are thankful that so many have been spared so long, and we hope that there will be a goodly number present for that last formal reunion with the other classes at Commencement, 1965.

We were indeed happy that ten '05 men and thirteen wives and widows gathered, as regularly in recent years, at the Inn for the delightful pleasure of conversing with one another. We were sorry to miss some of our regulars, as Tut Besse, the Tolmans, and Marion Tuck were not able to come. However we welcomed Edward Tuck '50 who came with John. Four other guests added pleasure: Jennifer Lillard, very attractive granddaughter of Lil and Ethel Lillard and the latter's sister, Fanny Hazen Ames on Friday night, and at the Sunday luncheon L.C. and Marion Grover's daughter and son-in-law were welcome additions to our group.

C.C. Hills won our hearty approval for the three delicious meals that he arranged for us Friday at the Inn Tavern, Saturday at the Montshire (in West Leb.), and Sunday, as usual, at the Outing Club.

Our class meeting was held after the dinner Saturday evening. Your Secretary, as presiding officer, called for silence for a moment of respect to those who had died during the past year. He read various letters that had been received; C.C. had read others the previous evening. C.C. Hills was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his continuing service to the class as reunion chairman. Roger Brown reported that the final returns would show that our class would reach well over our quota in the Alumni Fund. Huston Lillard as Bequest Chairman said that he expected new bequests for the College as a whole would exceed the Alumni Fund returns. Warm praise was expressed of S. B. Cunningham's work as newsletter chairman.

Others in attendance at our reunion not mentioned above included the Campbells,Whites, Brookses, and Fred Chase, also (widows) Alva Hatch, Bea MacMillan and Anne Reid; finally the charming wives of each of the men, except Marion Tuck.

Late report: Louse Cunningham came on. in late summer to the Hitchcock Clinic for a routine check-up. Roger Brown, who attended the Alumni College session, admits the going was a bit tough!
