This month, as a change of pace, the East Coast contingent is filling in for "Westy" Dalton. Jim needs news, fellahs - and wives! Please write him.
First... we have new babies. Lucia andBob Holland had Linda, their second; and Grace Marie and Fred Searby had a baby valentine named Ned.
We saw brother Dan Searby in Cincinnati this week (P & G). and he's busy and moving up. Giving equal time, we have to mention Adam Block who's doing the same for Colgate-Palmolive. He and wife Gitan are anxiously awaiting Number One. Chuck Schroeder was in New York for the Alumni Fund kick-off dinner where '57 had 25 agents attending - a great turnout. Byron Huse is in New York with Haskins & Sells; all with tax problems should let him know.
Back to babies ... Leslie and Frank Bruni had a baby boy Mark (he's 11 months old already). And closer to home, Shirley had our second, Elizabeth, in August we're happy.
Pete Carothers returned from a world cruise recently - covered Spain, the Far East Cairo, Beirut, among others. He dropped in on "Snitz" King in California and reports exciting things in the offing - keep us advised Snitz. We saw Harvey Epstein m an elevator last week and heard a bit about his new company. He looks great, a Bermuda tan, and is really hitting the ball in business _ batting 1,000! Tom Donahoe is another busy man on the move. Tom and Sara will trek to England for several months in behalf of Price Waterhouse. Marty Anderson, writing and teaching at Columbia, has been talking with Bili Myers about marketing. They may revolutionize the business! Peter" Serenyi is teaching in the Fine Arts Department at Amherst and invites '57s passing through to drop in. Bob and JeanRex will soon be Darien homeowners - Bob is a banker, as are "Red" Chase, PeteBuswell, and many others.
Finally, this is the time of the year for Fund talk, and Joe Stevenson will do the talking for a change. Jane (his wife) hopes you all "check in" early! Tim Hanley, Jim Dawson, and Bill Kramer (just engaged) ably assist Joe in the East: Alden Gifford and Dave Keith operate the Northeast; Jim Lawrence covers the South: Chuck Schroeder and Gerry Sokolec cover Chicago and parts north and south; Steve Lampl (of Lampl fashions — wives take note) handles Ohio; Bill Davidow and Dick Leavitt cover the Coast; and Clyde Brownstone coordinates "special gifts." Under these guys, Joe has a large group of class agents. Help him!
