Am always at a loss for an appropriate and witty opening comment, so I won't even try this month.

Many thanks to those of you who have written recently to let us all in on your whereabouts and doings. Roger Schaefer for instance writes that he was married way last May. His wife is the former Carolyn Moier of Jersey City. They met at Marine Midland Trust of NYC where Rog is now an investment assistant. Home for them is an apartment in Rahway, N. J. Among the 60's they see are Bill Richmond who's an architect in Pean River, N. Y., and Harry Bruckner who's a book salesman on the East Coast.

Pete and Judy Schwartz had their first, Bonnie Helene, last November. The Schwartzes are now living in Watertown, N. Y., where Pete is the Assistant Chief of the Consolidated Service Division of Camp Drum. He graduated from Penn Law School before joining the Army.

Al Cameron reports that he is still single and at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Medford, Mass., not at Princeton as I previously, and erroneously, reported. He was in the Navy for three years and is now torn between getting a Ph.D. in Soviet Studies or going into radio or television. If my sources are correct, Cliff Russell should now be in Uganda. He has accepted an assignment to do work for Prof. Bryan Van Arkadie of Yale University on the economic development of Africa. The reason I mention Prof. Van Arkadie is that he taught economics to me as a freshman. A young English fellow - Some of you may remember him.

Cai and Barb Raber now have a son number two, Gregory, as of December last year. They are living in Connecticut and Cai is in engineering with Pratt and Whitney Inc. Karl Mayer, who is now a senior at Rutgers Law School, has been named a member of the Rutgers School of Law Legal Aid Society. He will assist in conducting interviews and getting information for Essex County attorneys. Nice going, Karl.

Mari and I had a most enjoyable time last Friday evening. Tom and Sue Wahman were in town for a few days, so we got together with them and Gretchen and RyanOstebo, Rod and Barb Anderson '59 and Stu and Gail Hanson '59. It was the first time we'd all been together for four or five years, so it was kicks to say the least. Much belly laughing and retelling of old episodes, along with lots of gossip.

Dune Knapp called me the other night. He and wife Linda are now living in Minneapolis. Dune works for Armstrong Cork and was transferred out here last December. Dave Zehr is a teaching assistant at North Carolina in Raleigh. Dick Bossie is a teacher out in Salt Lake City. I think it's high school, but I'm not sure. Chuck Weingartner has joined Monsanto Chemical Company's Plastics Division in the production service group at Springfield, Mass. He was with Procter and Gamble. Pete and Sara Klaren are both doing graduate work at UCLA. Pete recently received his Master's in history.

I also hear that: Tom Hickey is in the sales department of the H. M. Harper Company of Morton Grove, Ill. Wes Mattsen is an architecture student at the University of Minnesota: and that Arnie Sigler is a lawyer for some law firm (with a long name) in New York City.

As we go to press I know there are many of you who are spending many hours working for the Alumni Fund. We've got a class coal of some $6000-$7000, somewhere in there. That looks like a wad of money to most of us now - it would sure take a big chunk out of a mortgage. But when we split it up between all of us, it's really not so much. Surely we can all afford something. Just try drinking a cheaper brand of beer for half a year or so and donate the difference — plus $5 or $10. This year there will be regional agents who will run things for a certain part of the country. He may be calling on you to work. If he does — get with it. But, at any rate, give.

I need some more letters from some of you whom I've lost complete track of.
