For the "When good fellows get together" department: At the Outing Club August 23 there was a small gathering of '05 men and women for lunch. Those present to enjoy this little reunion were Jane and RogerBrown, Fred Chase, Louise and Shirley Cunningham, and C.C. Hills. All of this company reached their respective homes in due course.

S.B. and Louise had spent the summer comfortably in West Brookfield, Vt. They left September 6 and are now safely ensconced in their ranch in Las Cruces, N. M. Your secretary has a souvenir of the now demolished porch of Hanover Inn in a snapshot, entitled "A Rock on the Porch." S.B. and the secretary are chatting as they sit in rocking chairs. They appear to be rather wistfully recounting the good old days. This picture appeared in the Dartmouth Summer News of July 25.

Roger Brown has gained distinction for himself and for the Class by being the oldest alumnus attending the Alumni College this summer, according to a release from Hanover. Having had his appetite for learning thus whetted, Roger is enrolled in an interesting class at Tufts College made up of leading bankers, lawyers, and prominent businessmen of Somerville. Never a dull moment!

Your secretary's face is red because of an inexplicable twisting about of the two addresses for Ida Parkinson in Walla Walla. She lived briefly at 20 East Chestnut St., and afterwards moved to 380 South First St., which is her present address. The zip code, 99362. This is a correction of what appeared in our column previously.

A word further about Ida. She is a person who can very happily keep busy and interested in a variety of ways. She enjoys having her nephew's family drop in on her frequently. At the time of her most recent letter, she was looking forward to attending the famous Pendleton, Ore., Round Up, with its beautiful horses, many Indians, and interesting floats, as well as lovely girls. It certainly sounds enjoyable.

Charles Hodgman reports that his quiet enjoyment of the care of his many beautiful roses was pleasantly interrupted last June when his daughter Margaret and her husband took him to Cleveland to attend the wedding of his son Edward's daughter Kathryn. The latter was married to Joel Beam, who had been studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music, while Kathryn had been studying at Oberlin College in the same field. The Class wishes them well.

A word about Mildred and myself: She is finding many ways to keep busy as, for instance, a volunteer hospital worker and as a tutor for a blind student under the Board of Education here in Montclair. I feel a bit lost after the long years of regular class work. Still, I am taking one of my able students of last year on through the second year of Greek privately. Of course, there are the garden and house always offering chances to keep pleasantly occupied - and many good books to read.
