John C. Barker has been appointed director of sales for Wallace Silversmiths, a division of Hamilton Watch Company. John joined the company in 1948 and has served in various sales capacities and as general advertising manager for both Wallace and Hamilton Watch Company. The Barkers live in Lancaster, Pa., where he is active in various community organizations.

News from Detroit indicates that GeneCafiero will be traveling to the southern hemisphere. Chrysler Corporation has announced his appointment as Vice President with responsibility for directing all Chrysler operations in Latin America, including subsidiary and affiliated companies. Gene has been with Chrysler since 1953 and earned his M.S. in 1960 as a Sloan Fellow at M.I.T. Formerly general plants manager in the firm's power train group, he has been involved with Chrysler's Latin American operations since February 1967.

Joel Goldberg's wife, Carole, was thoughtful enough to send me some information regarding her husband's activities. He was recently appointed vice president and general merchandise manager of Rich's, Inc. in Atlanta, Ga. He is also a member of the Board of Directors.

A recent article in the Cleveland, "The Plain Dealer," reported on the skiing activities of Sandy Treat and his family. He has been located in Cleveland for the last three years as national sales manager, Mill Products of Aluminium Ltd. From the article, it seems that Sandy has kept up his skiing interest since leaving college and that his whole family have become avid skiers.

Paul A. Lux was recently elected vice president and chairman of the executive committee of the Waterbury (Conn.) Hospital. As you know, he is vice president and general manager of Lux Time Division, Robertshaw Controls Company. A long-time resident of Waterbury, he continues to devote substantial time to various charitable and civic organizations in the community.

Mac Johnson continues to provide textbooks for the nation's future scientists as the newly appointed vice president of W.A. Benjamin, Inc. He joined the company as publisher in January 1967 and in his new position will be responsible for the sales, editorial, production, and editing departments. Previously Mac had been director of the college department of Time-Life Books and prior to that, he was for 15 years editor-in-chief of science and engineering in the college department of McGraw-Hill.

The class Executive Committee plans to hold its winter meeting in March. I hope you will feel free to write Frank Ettari or me if you have any matters which you would like to have the committee consider, particularly with regard to the planning of our 25th reunion.
