While no official survey has yet been conducted, informal sources seem to indicate that 1938's turn-out for its tremendous thirtieth in June will be a very substantial one indeed. Various casual contacts of mine have indicated that they will be on tap along with their families for that festive occasion. Remember to reserve the time and make every effort to hie yourself north with yourself and tribe. Reunions come only once in five years; so be sure not to miss this one.

And from Bud himself: "This old 1938er is married to a lovely grandmother! Our oldest son and his wife have just had a baby girl, Alicia, born March 9 in Military Hospital in Seoul, Korea. Mike, our son, is a captain with the 2nd Div. (Army). His wife. Peggy, is a little bit of a lovely girl and all is well. It will probably be the end of the year before we see our first grandchild when his tour of duty is up, and they return to the States and resume law career. Who knows? This young lady - Alicia - may go to Dartmouth if present trends continue! Class of 1990!
"Planning on reunion in June; however, our second son, Scott, called us from California the other night and announced he's planning to be married to a very lovely gal he met in Mexico. They are both school teachers in Southern California. We met her while in L.A. on vacation a couple of weeks ago. Naturally, a wedding would take priority! But, I am sure they'll schedule before or after our reunion."
In answer to an inquiry from me as to a change in address, Fred Davis writes that there have been two radical changes in his life during the last year: A divorce last year, and he retired from daily business and devoted his time now to personal affairs, a directorship, and a couple of businesses that he has had on the side for a few years.

Another classmate has deserted the environs of greater New York with its unsympathetic and forbidding climate for the more attractive surroundings of Florida. Says Ed Thomas: "I am happy to say that at last I am nachieving a goal and that is to become a permanent resident in the beautiful state of florida. Last January, my wife and I packed everything up and left Greenwich and New Haven railroad and moved down here. Last May, however, we contracted to buy a new home was scheduled for completion on January 20. On January 20, due to all sorts of construction problems-lack of materials, longshoremen's strike, lack of skilled a concreate slab. Therefore, we had to find temporary quarters fast. Fortunately, we did so on the Boca beach- a very nice place. Now our home is showing some signs of resemblinga house, and I hope to be settled before the end of April.
"What about the future? After we get settled I'm going to get some sort of business going down here — at present type unknown -and also enjoy the warm good living. Can't say more ftan that right now."
