News has been mighty sparce over the last two months. I have sent a short questionnaire to a large number of you whose name has not been in this column recently, I promised a free beer at reunion to those of you who responded by the sixth of this month. Apparently most of you realized that our able reunion chairman will have all the free beer you can drink during reunion, June 19-21. Therefore, all I can say is, if you do read the column to see what others are doing, remember there are some who would like to see what you are doing. Return those forms!

Mrs. Bob Cary didn't want her husband to miss any beer. She responded that she and Bob have two children whom they take on camping trips of hiking and white water canoeing. Bob is a CPA in partnership with his father and the tax season has been cutting into his skiing. However, he still finds time to be in the Melrose, Mass., Rotary Club, the Reading Jaycees, and to play a lot of tennis. The Carys have seen Jack Benson who is a v.p. of the State Street Bank and Trust Company in Boston and Ben Parrish, who is with New England Mutual Life. They also report that Bob Kinerson is a psychiatrist in Winchester, Mass.

Dick Burg responded from Madison, Wis., where he is chief resident in surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. He will go into the U.S.A.F. as a general surgeon this summer. Dick's wife is expecting their second child. She played host to Mike Heitner and wife, who stopped in to see them. Unfortunately, Dick was tied up at the hospital. Dick did say he had heard from Gil Stone, who with wife, Ellen, is stationed with the Army at San Antonio, Texas, where he is an anesthesiologist.

Bachelor, Ken Reich, has just been assigned as chief of the Atlanta Bureau for the Los Angeles Times. This bureau has responsibility for covering the south both for his paper and for the Post-Times wire service to other papers. His new address is 1496 Rock Spring Circle, Atlanta, Ga.

Christmas greetings from Rory Mullett brought the good news that he and his family have moved near us in Summit, N.J. He commutes to N.Y.C. where he has become affiliated with Organization Resources Counselors, a management consulting firm specializing in employee relations. Rory reported that he had seen Duncan Grey in Houston and, after working on a fifth of Wild Turkey, they called Bob Hackett in Phoenix, who was delighted at 3:00 a.m. by all of the perceptive comments they were able to offer.

Rory also brought the first news of the merger of the talents of Bruce Ducket and Tom Seawell '59 out in Denver. They have established their own law practice. The Duckers' Christmas card contained a picture of their three children: Foster, John, and Nell. From the typical Ducker deviltry in their eyes, I think Bruce's practice may be kept busy just taking care of his children.

The news on Bessie and Rey Moulton's Christmas card was that Bessie is expecting their first child in May. I hope she times it so that they can join us at reunion.

In preparation for reunion the class executive committee has appointed Tom Alaimo chairman of the nominating committee for the election of our next executive committee. Therefore, if you are interested in serving the Class over the next five years or if you would like to suggest someone who you feel would be a good class worker, send your name to Tom at 609 Morgan Drive, Lewiston, N.Y. 14092. The period for nominating will be over March 31.

DO YOU REMEMBER. ... In February 1960, Sue Horney was elected to Winter Carnival Queen. Jim Progin, president of the DKE house, welcomes a raiding party led by Hanover Police Chief Andrew Ferguson, who was after a slot machine. ... Bond and Cameron were picked to go on the G.E. College Bowl Dave Segal attacks a "very dangerous and malignant type of apathy - intellectual apathy."

Earle Patterson has recently become a partner in the Media, Pa., law firm of Caine, Di Pasqua, Edelson and Patterson. He says that in his "spare time" he is serving as president of the local Optimist Club. Bette is presently serving as the president of the Lawyers Wives of the Delaware County Bar Association in addition to taking care of their three children: Wayne, Keith, and Lauren. Earle said that John Bousum is living in the Exton, Pa., area and is a salesman with Container Corporation of America. Also, John Bracken is in Oil City, Pa., where he works for a bank.

Some one-lmers from the Hanover news-clip service. ... Jim Blaisdell is an international trainee at the Bank of America in San Francisco. Dan Cilo instructs Russian at Valparaiso University in Indiana. CaiRaber is the manager of R. & D. for a manufacturer of data systems in Ann Arbor, Mich. Jim Adler has been transferred by Compton Advertising to Capana Heights, Puerto Rico. The new sales promotion manager for Tom McCann Shoes is Lou Perullo, who lives in Worcester, Mass.

John Friede is listed as a patron of the exhibit of art in February at Knoedler Gallery in New York City. This exhibit is from the collection of alumni and friends of the College and the Dartmouth College Collection.

Another mini reunion has been scheduled. This one shows real imagination and should be almost as much fun as Mike Heitner's Kentucky Fried Chicken bash at the Columbia game. Eric Anderson with the cooperation of Dick Chase is organizing a '60 ski weekend at Chases' ski development, Timber Ridge Mountain, for the weekend of March 14-15. This is a fine modern ski area located in Windham, Vt., near Bromley. If you will call Eric at his office at 802-254-9182 or write him at Box 543, Brattleboro, Vt. 05301, he will make motel reservations for you. There will be a chip dinner and party at the base lodge that Saturday night. Everyone I have talked to about Timber Ridge agrees that this is a great ski area. Don't miss this party.
