The meteorological nemesis of the Hanover winter still engulfs some '69's. MikeStratton is an instructor for the Dartmouth Outward Bound Center. This winter his work will include directing the coed survival course. Sounds like fun, Stratts! This past summer, Mike globetrotted from Hurricane Island, Me., to Colorado to Prescott, Ariz. He combines teaching with recruiting and has "aided in the instruction of teachers, administrators, delinquents, and college freshmen."

Rick Wallick is in Hanover working for the College Admissions Office. John Danford is college-employed. He is the DCAC's Freshman Crew Coach. A new addition to the Plain is Jeffrey Allan Vance, the October arrival of Stu Vance and his wife.

Others also preferred the climatic rigors of the Northeast. Jim Sutton and his wife are in Manchester, N.H., where he is a 7th and 9th grade English teacher at the Derryfield School. Jose Mina is chairman of the Language Department at Mt. Hermon School, Mt. Hermon, Mass. Dave Kemp is a reporter-photographer for the "Springfield Times," Springfield, Vt. Hugh Hill is a teaching fellow in Business at Phillips Academy, Andover, Mass. Don White teaches Math and coaches wrestling and lacrosse at the Hoosick School, Hoosick, N.Y. Finally, Tom Parker is an audio-visual director for the Boys Club of America in Roxbury, Mass.

Many classmates exchanged ice and snow for balmier environs. Mike Harvey and Donn Flipse are offering disco music, cafe service, literary presentations, lobby art exhibits, and the traditionally well-stocked bar at their Costa Rican club, "El Museum of the Actual." Also in South America is PhilipBush, an agricultural extension adviser with the Peace Corps in Peru. Howie Wildman is also a Peace Corps agricultural specialist, but in Keton, Dahomey, West Africa.

Academic honors have also been bestowed upon Jeff Kelley, a first year student at the Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill. This Fellowship in Journalism, established by RCANBC, includes an annual personal stipend and an unrestricted grant to the journalism school.

Skip Kessler is a medical graduate student at Duke Union Hospital in Durham, N.C. Jim Ross is a graduate student at Stanford University. Others employed in Golden Bear Land include: Bruce Hamilton, a special agent for Jefferson Life in San Francisco; John Bruce, a professional worker for the LA Dept. of Public Works; CharlieCampbell, a student teacher at San Fernando Valley State College; and Randy Emeriek, a truck driver for Austin's Laundry, Fremont, Calif.

Some late nuptial notes: On September 15, Lively Andy Stone tied the knot with his "Hanover honey" of long-standing, the former Martha Buckley, Wheaton '70. Just back from a three-month tour of Europe, Martha is at home while Andy is undergoing Army Reserve active duty.

Dave Kinsey took as his late summer bride the former Susan Schutzman, Mt. Holyoke, '69. The Kinseys are in Trenton, N.J., where Sue works as an educational coordinator for an anti-poverty agency, United Progress, Inc. Dave is an administrative assistant to the assistant commissioner for the Program Development of the New Jersey Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
