The end of the scholastic year is upon us and most everyone in the area is looking forward to vacation time. A good many schools in Boston have had forced closings because of the undue pressures applied by those who profess to want an education. If I had a kid in school at this time, I would push for some type of monetary rebate due because of failure of institutions to complete the pre-designated scholastic year.

Having been a member of the undergraduate group labeled "Jock's," I can't help but feel that one who aggressively took part in a sport did not have the spare time necessary to march in protest. We were either too busy trying to catch up on neglected studies or too tired to walk in circles. My advice - "keep-em running, and closely cropped and the demonstrations are bound to stop." I fully realized that the problem is much deeper and more serious than we care to admit; however, too much leisure time appears to be a contributing factor to the deplorable campus situation throughout the country. Thank our lucky stars that the "green" has had a fairly decent record concerning demonstrations. My hat is doffed to our administrators.

A belated but pertinent flash regarding our own Bud Sawyer who Has set up his own company called the Sawyer Group Inc. The company is an independent advertising media service providing media buying, and consulting services to advertising agencies and client companies. Listen to the green lineup concerned with the Sawyer Group: Lawyer for the corporation is Herbie Roth. The insurance agent for the group is Harvey Kelley. Rit Swicker is consultant on television and creative services and Gerry Lukeman (executive vice president of Audience Studios, Inc.) has put the group onto a couple of important accounts. A '53 Clyde Claus is the banker. Bud claims the only professional service the company had to go "outside" for was their accountant - but he's Bud's brother-in-law. Offices for the new company are in 2 Pennsylvania Plaza, the new building over Penn Station next to the new Madison Square Garden in New York.

Bud, his lovely wife Elspeth, and three wonderful kids, Elspeth 8, Heather 6, and son James 3, reside in Westfield, N. J. The best of everything in your new venture, Bud.

Directors of Sentinel Growth Fund, Inc., and Sentinel Income Fund, Inc., re-elected him a vice president and stock holders of National Life Investment Management, Inc., and Equity Services, Inc., have re-elected him clerk. Biddy, your notes on James Michael Curley must have been an asset to you.
