As I have not yet been to Hanover this fall for a class officers meeting or a football game, the only direct contact I can report is with former roommate King Van Denburg, who made a surprise visit to the old home town, Babylon, New York. As reported in this column a couple of years back, King was transferred by McGrawHill to the London office where he ended up living in a remodeled stable of six bedroom rating in the suburb of Henley on Thames. The usual but oft regretted invitation was extended to all classmates. Recently Dan Marshall and wife arrived on the scene as evidenced in the Pacesetter. King and Dan had not met before, but the two couples sincerely enjoyed the visit. King's son visited the parents this summer with grandchild. Son Joe reports that Dad is planning to sail back to Long Island single-handed in a custom built trimaran.

Johnny Johnson is Texaco's general manager for international sales in Latin America and West Africa but as such will be located in New York. He joined a Texaco subsidiary the year of graduation. and after various positions in Africa, held several marketing and managerial position in New York. Johnny joined the Company in France and Belgium from 1963 to 1965. He was made Deputy General Manager for Africa in January of this year. It was nice to receive a news release putout by the Underwriters Report of June 21. 1971 concerning classmate Leonard McChesney. "McC." as he was called by friends and fellow musicians, played way up from trumpet player with the Commons Noon Ensemble to leader of the Barbary Coast. He recently resigned iron, a vice presidency with Pan American Insurance to accept a vice presidency Fluor Corporation, a major engineering and construction firm, specializing in chemical plants, oil refineries, dams, mines and similar facilities. The head office where McChesney is based is at 2500 South Atlantic Boulevard, Los Angeles.
