VIVA Glenn Wilson! No '55 can forget him. At our last Reunion we all dedicated ourselves to that. He remains a prisoner but he is alive and yearns to come home. In fact, he wrote his wife Adlyn, "Tell my college buddies and friends how much I appreciate their thoughts and concern. I have a family trip all planned in which we will visit many of them." The letter was dated March 22, 1972 and was brought back by lane Fonda.

VIVA is a volunteer organization dedicated to alert all Americans to the tragic plight of the POW/MIA's. Adlyn feels it is the most effective effort she has encountered. It keeps alive knowledge of the fact that our prisoners and MIA are suffering every day. All the other efforts tend to fade from memory over time.

VIVA produces and distributes bracelets. The proceeds are used to further the cause of the organization. The bracelets are simple metal bands engraved with the name of a POW or MIA and the date he was lost.

"Don't wear it unless you want to get involved. When one assumes the one-to-one bond, with a stranger who is unable even to ask for your concern, and to enter the pain of his family, something happens to you.

"You are taught new lessons about old concepts. Unity, caring, brotherhood.

"The bracelet is worn with the vow that it will not be removed until the day that his real status is determined or that he returns home."

It is my earnest hope that every member of our Class as well as his family will wear a bracelet. To order, simply write VIVA, 10966 Le Conte, Los Angeles, Calif. 90024. There is a choice of nickel-plated or copper. A minimum donation of $3 per bracelet is required to cover costs. Donations are tax deductible and may be in any amount. Please specify that Major Glenn Wilson USAF be printed. Wear the bracelet until he returns! Think about him and tell your friends about him. Write your congressman and urge that we not abandon our effort in Southeast Asia until all the POW/MIA's have been accounted for and returned.
