Guess what? Spring arrived here in New England right on schedule. Only three weeks late this year. Time to get out that reflector and tan up the old dome.
Joining a big Dartmouth family line is Jonathan Richard Emerson who was greeted on March 12 by Carol and Bill Emerson. The newest arrival is named after Bill's father Dick '34, and his brother John '71 whose birthdays both occur on the same day. Jonathan is number two son following Benjamin Allen to the Emerson table.
Waiting for Dartmouth to go co-ed are Marilee and Sam Anderson who welcomed Mary Kathryn to the fold on Feb. 25. Mary rivals 2½-year-old Sarah for Sam's attention these days. Marilee reports Sam is in his fourth year teaching high school English and algebra at Mills High near Palo Alto, Calif. Let me know how it is in San Luis Obispo, Sam.

In New York Ed Falkenberg has been named chief accountant for the firm of Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, Inc. Just shows what an M.B.A. from Tuck will do for you! Both native New Yorkers, Ed and Pat continue to live in the big city at 315 East 70th Street with their son Christopher.
Karl Young is one of our classmates who's working to change the troubled society so prevalent in the news these days. Karl has founded and guides the Crisis Forum which meets twice monthly to discuss and act on critical city issues, especially black-white relations. The forum consists of neighborhood people who are willing to approach their problems with discussion and action as it is necessary within a non-violent framework. The program has been enormously popular and successful, and has spread from Philadelphia to other Pennsylvania cities.
Bob Van Dam is even more anxious to hear from you than I am. Let's get behind the fund drive. I'd better get back inside. Funny how fast that temperature drops here.
