A recent note from Marion Tuck tells how much she enjoyed my write up in the March Magazine of the Dartmouth Sarasota luncheon. She also is interested to know about '05 widows. I hope to get out a special newsletter soon.

On April 2 C. C. Hills joined me at the Sigma Chi Sarasota Alumni meeting. It was the biggest and best meeting of the winter, with 25 present. C.C. rides the bus from St. Petersburg and I pick him up in Sarasota. He has recently spent a few-days in Mt. Dora visiting a few Dartmouth friends.

Robert Falconer spent a few days in hospital in March. Edna stayed nearby and says that they are happy the operation is past. His doctor reported that Bob made an unusually quick recovery. Edna says spring is ahead of time this year with redbud, daffodils, forsythia, and dogwoods in full bloom. They hope to make Hanover in June.

A letter from John Bell's daughter Harriett Cofield says they were out of the country for two weeks. She says her father is about the same, he still knows her but his attention span is very short and he is easily confused. John is still living in the Sullivan County Nursing Home, R.R. #1, Claremont, N.H. 03743. I hope to call John on the telephone when in Hanover in May.

Tom Keady's daughter-in-law Rita enjoys our '05 news reports. Her large family is growing up fast and she will soon be sending her usual checks in memory of Grandpa Tom.

Fred Chase celebrated his 90th birthday on April 9 with a family party. He will return home by train the last of April.

A letter from Ernest White says he has had a busy and happy winter. He goes to the office for a few hours almost every day and takes a walk when there is not too much snow. Hilda is a little better The grandchildren keep everyone active. The Whites would love to come to Dartmouth in June, but think there is not much chance.

Ida Parkinson sent a very fine letter April 2 in which she said it was a lovely summer day. The red tulips are gorgeous and all the flowering shrubs are showing color, the wheat fields are getting green, and the peas are starting.

Ida is interested in baseball and she also enjoyed a concert by the U.S. Air Force band and choir and April 4. She says she can't accept the change to coeducation at Dartmouth but it is there, so, on we go.

We are all saddened by the death of Robert Kenyon '07. He was one of our dearest friends and a loyal, dedicated man of Dartmouth who worked hard for his College and his Class. Lura will carry on the class agent's work.

jane and I have had a good time during the winter. There was just one full week of temperature over 80 degrees, and I took a dip each day. However, most of the time it has been cooler than usual. We both still drive, but only for short local trips and never after dark.

We of '05 have two men, Chase and Falconer, with records of contributing to the Alumni Fund every year and Hills is only one year behind them. I wonder if any other class has more than three men with such a good record.
