Bill Ragan has been appointed vice president of research and development for the Kendall Company. Bill joined Kendall last July after having worked for RCA. And the Ragans now live in Wayland, Mass., after moving from Carmel, Ind.

Although he no longer holds political office, Walt Peterson is still in demand as a speaker. The former New Hampshire governor, in a talk to graduate students at the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration, spoke on "Business and government, the partnership that exists in fact." Walt discussed the work of the Citizens Task Force, a bipartisan group of citizens representing business, labor, government and other sectors which he appointed in 1969 to study the state's needs for services and to make recommendations for change. For the present at least, Walt has rejoined the family realty business in Peterborough.

I'm indebted to Joe Eisaman for a letter from the Far West with some news about himself and other 475. The Eisamans had a great ski trip to Alta, Utah, and had a chance to be with AlColton, his wife Liz, and son Tom, who live in Salt Lake City. Joe writes: "It had been many years since Al and I used to pick up a 6-pack at Tanzi's, then head out to the golf course for our early ski efforts. (I haven't improved much.)"

The ad agency that Joe and an old friend from Yale started in 1948 is moving right along. With the main office on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, the firm recently added a Philadelphia office to their Chicago and New York branches.

Among '47s discussed at the Utah get-together were Russ Pfaff, who recently moved even higher in the Mobil organization and has left southern California for Palatine, Ill., and Bourke Welch, a Californian in the printing business whom Joe sees frequently.
