Back again after what seems like the shortest summer on record. Speaking of records, Head Class Agent Dick Canton and his able staff of agents report that the Class gave a total of $35,826 during the 1974 fund drive, a gain of more than $4,000 over last year - a real achievement. In addition, the drive for greater class participation, under the direction of Tom Schwarz, resulted in donations from 21 more classmates - another real achievement!

John Blades has moved from London to Paris to take on a new job with his company - plans group director for Vick International. John is now in charge of marketing on a staff basis for all European and African markets. "This is an in-coming marketing consultant job which requires a good deal of travel," John writes. "Great variety of problems and opportunities, but what I like most about the job is that I get paid to go where other people take holidays!" John says that he has given up active automobile racing but that he still maintains his interest in the sport in Europe. He also claims to be an "exquisite chef - my only real art form is French cuisine and my favorite hobby is roast lamb." John, Ann, and Jessica Elizabeth, born in London on New Years Eve, 1973, share a pad that is five minutes walking time from the Arc de Triomphe. The Blades are in the throes of learning French which, John admits, "gets us a decent meal in a restaurant and allows us to talk to taxi drivers - but that's about all so far!"
