After the long winter months, here we are again with June bustin' out all over. It's the wind-up for some and the beginning for others. And that reminds us that '17 is watching with more than usual interest the results of the 60th Alumni Fund Drive. Len Reade, Class Agent, is doing his usual fine job. At this writing, our participation percentage is excellent but we do need more dollars to reach our goal. Check your wallet and try to find something in it for Dartmouth besides "spirit."
Gordon (Trace) Tracy of Windsor responded to the appeal from this district. We hope to see him on one of his trips to Burlington where he visits his daughter and her family occasionally.
It was good to receive a note from Will Fitch. If an erratum in these notes prompts more news and continued contacts between all of us, it may be worth while now and then. Through ForreyEmery's secretary, Winifred Mahoney, both Will and I have learned that he has been unable to be at his office for some months. His health unfortunately precludes this, a fact we did not know when we referred to his business activities in a recent issue. Why not send Forrey a card c/o Moors and Cabot, 111 Devonshire St., Boston? Many of our classmates who worked in that area will remember him.
Our well-known treasurer Vic Smith has just received word from Parker (Duffy) Karnan. We would like to hear more from you, Duffy. How do you like California? In checking up with Vic, I find that he has had a couple of bouts with doctors and hospitals recently, but is recovering nicely. As we write this, he is on his way to visit his son and family in Cincinnati, Ohio. There he will celebrate his birthday, so we wish him many happy returns.
That's about it until fall. Have a good summer.
