Seventeen Up! A short cheer for Len Reade who has put the Class at the top of our group for the current Alumni Fund Drive. Len has written that there is still a lot of work to be done, so if you haven't already done so, please get your donation into Hanover before the end of this month.

There have been no additions to the members of the executive committee, but your secretary has received a few suggestions. At present we have no bequest chairman. Slats Baxter makes a suggestion which is worth your consideration, namely that Bob Scott work with the College directly through Robert Kaiser, executive secretary of the bequest program, and add his name and endorsement to the material which emanates from that source. Bob agrees to this plan, subject to the vote of the Class. These notes in the Alumni Magazine seem to be the best way to inform the Class of the proposed change. If you do not approve, please contact your president or secretary.

The Post-50th will be in full swing by the time you receive these notes. So if you missed it, by all means, make your reservations early for our annual fall get-together. Headquarters will be the Hanover Inn, and you can attend the Holy Cross game and meet your classmates and contemporaries. Through George Stoddard '18, who is on the ground in Hanover, we are making arrangements for the two classes to join forces for dinner at the Drake Room on Saturday evening, October 4. With sufficient attendance, George says we can afford music with ArchEarle available to mangle the piano.

If you wondered why there were no '17 class notes in a recent issue, the answer is obvious. Noone sent in any news. So have a good summer and TELL US about it for the early fall edition.

In closing, I regret to report the recent death of Elmer Gray of Tuscon, Ariz. Details will be reported when available.
