Late in July Harriet and I received an invitation to attend the 50th wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Norris LowellHodgkins on Friday August 8 at the Mid Pines Club, Southern Pines, N.C. We were not able to accept but ' warmly congratulate "Doc" and Mary on their 50 years of married life.
On Friday night, May 16 Max Norton was given the Hanover Chamber of Commerce Award of Distinction.
Mrs. Russell Larmon has announced the marriage of her daughter Jane Russell to Mr. Paul Robert Hill on Saturday, July 19, 1975, Church of Christ at Dartmouth College, Hanover, N. H. I received two reports on the wedding from (1) Nick Sandoe and (2) Spider Martin. According to Nick "It was a beautiful wedding in the White Church, presided over by Fred Berthold and marred only by the excessive heat and humidity. Needless to say the bride and bride's mother were beautiful as always." Seen at the wedding were the following 19'ers: Jack and Hester McCrillis, Bob and Anne Lewis Helen and Max Norton, Spider and Bea Martin Marion Rand, and Nick and Dorothy Sandoe' The Merrills were out of town. From Spider I was advised that "Jack Ross is coming to the fall party, Davis has bought a golf cart and play, ing golf regularly. McCrea stopped to visit him recently. Had lunch with Nock Wallis. He is well. The Russeils will be at the Cape for September and I will see them. They will be in Hanover for the fall party October 3 and 4 "
Warm Mineral Springs, south of Venice, Fla is a project inspired years ago by our late classmate Fred Daley. Someone sent me a newspaper clipping dated June 4, 1974 saying in part "Equipment needed to probe the underwater archeological site of Warm Mineral Springs will be available through the $100,000 appropriation recently approved by the 1974 State Legislature."
Adair Williams, wife of Jack Williams died last February. She had been in a nursing home for nearly a year.
Percy A. Grey, Box 746, Chatham, Mass. 02633, has been appointed editor of the 1919 Smoke Signal. I spent several pleasant hours with him early in August. With your cheerful and helpful cooperation I am confident he will be a fine editor.of our 1919 class newsletter.

Helen Ann Davis, daughter of William K. Davis '52 and granddaughter of Dr. George B.Davis 'l9 has been accepted and plans to go to Dartmouth as a member of the Class of 1979.
San Treat has been very generous with letters covering his exciting activities. Space limitations do not permit me to elaborate. After spending July and August in England they will be at Sandy's farm in West Dover, Vt. We expect to see the Treats in Hanover October 3 and 4.
