Random notes from all over the country this month ...

From Tom and Ellen Brennan out in Indianapolis comes news that all is going well with their family. Tom is president of Stewart Manufacturing Co. a manufacturer of ventilating and exhaust fans and related equipment. Ellen, after raising the three Brennan children, went back to college herself, received her degree in Spanish with highest distinction and is now studying for her Master's degree. Their oldest child Warren graduated recently from the University of Michigan with a major in geology, while Anne is now a sophomore at Purdue, and John is just entering the freshman class at Vincennes University.

Further west in Columbus, Nebraska, we have news from George and Lenore Rambour. George continues to run the family business of Rambour Realty and Insurance and is involved in just about everything in town including a position on the city council, director of the Citizens Bank, and other civic activities. He also reports great interest in hunting which we imagine he has enjoyed with one or more of the four Ranbour children. George, the oldest, is now a senior in high school and was all conference in football. The younger children are Michele, a sophomore, Michael, in the eighth grade, and Renee, in the fourth grade.

Heading back east to upper New York state and to Buffalo we have word that Brock Lewis has joined the Marine Midland Bank as vice president responsible for coordinating operations of the investment research, fixed income, and security trading departments and common trust funds. Although Marine Midland is headquartered in Buffalo, Brock will maintain his offices in New York City. Prior to joining Marine Brock had been a vice president of Dominick Management Corporation and, prior to that, a vice president of Lionel D. Edie & Co. Both firms are investment advisors. Presumably the Lewis family will continue to reside in Trenton, N.J.

I tried to call Lyle Spalding a short time ago to find out what is going on with the family down there in Louisville. Lyle wasn't home but I did have a nice visit with Lola Spalding who brings us up to date on their activities. Lyle has been with General Electric for the past 23 years and is now regional manager for distributors for central air conditioners for the western U.S. (I'd like to see that on a calling card.). Anyway, as you might imagine, the job involves a lot of travel, but at least it is to some of the country's best territory. The Spaldings have a family of four including David who is now a senior at Dartmouth. The others are Jane, a freshman at Miami of Ohio, Jeff, a sophomore in high school, and Michael who will start school next year. It would be interesting sometime to find out how many members of our Class are employed by GE. Does anyone know?

Finally, an update on Bill Kay from our early '75 report on his election as president of Standard Brand Foods. Bill and the family have moved to Greenwich, Conn. He and Sally are enjoying the redecorating of their house along with their three youngsters, Peyton (12), Bill III (10) and Caroline (7). They are reported to be budding skiers, magicians, and ballet dancers in the same sequence as listed.
