Paled, pained, and perplexed by preposterous primary propaganda of pompous political pantaloons, the public is perturbed, paranoid, and panicked over prospective public policies perpetuating pondering, pardoning, and parochialism. People passionately plead for perceptive, proud, patricians, not perspiring, perjuring, persons of petty, paltry, principles. Please pardon this peeved, piqued parody of picaresque pileated pursuers of the presidential position. Like Peter Piper, I'm in a pickle over which piker to pick from a peck of political peckers. King of the World, where are you?

Hall of Fame: The Dartmouth "TH.IN.G." (my investigation organization and suggestion for the new school mascot) has learned that LeeChilcote received the award as one of the ten outstanding young citizens of Cleveland for 1975. He loves his work as a member of the Cleveland Heights City Council after waging a "heated" campaign in November of '75 in this city of 60,000. His primary responsibility is chairman of the Planning and Development Committee. This definitely puts Lee in my Hall of Fame. (Thanks, Tuni). Heard from LarryMitchell's wife Cookie, that Larry (Los Gatos, Calif.) has recently been promoted to the position of manufacturing manager in the Terminal Products Division of Hewlitt Packard located in Cupertino, Calif. Larry would do anything to get into my Hall of Fame.

General Babbling: Jerry Palm has so far made the best contribution to my general babbling segment. I quote Jerry as follows: "My wife Nancy and I really enjoyed our 10th Reunion. We had been looking forward to it for a long time. Nancy had never been to Dartmouth but had, of course, heard a lot about the school. I would encourage our classmates to make plans to attend the 15th." Now, that's babbling. Thanks, Jerry. Bob Hands Jr., pediatrician, has two offices. One is in his home in Upper Saddle River, N.J., and the other in Allendale, N.J. He'll also look at your feet, for those of you who think he's a foot doctor. He has two children, 4 and 6, who probably give him the best training in the field. Major Larry Cabell is serving a year in Korea. His wife Sally and their two children are remaining in Fort Peck, Montana, where he has been stationed for two years and anxiously await his return in June. Can you blame them for staying home? Come to think of it, I have never seen a Korean travel poster. Doctor Barry Shultz writes that he toured the U.S. last summer with wife, children, (1 and 5) and dog in their mini motor home. He has opened private practice in Urology at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading, Pa., (any motor home with a dog and kids running loose in it would make it seem mini and give you plenty of opportunity for urology). To continue the medical theme, Barry Pressman, M.D. is now in private practice in Los Angeles. His field is radiology and mainly neuroradiology which he teaches at U.C.L.A. His wife Beth and he have two daughters (2 and 6) and they were all moved to a new home in Pacific Palisades, Calif., in January.

Class Smut: First, thanks, Judy Spangenberg, for the nice letter. Judy reports the following: A) Tom (Spangenberg) was promoted to vice president of Young and Rubicam Advertising where he handles the Sanka, Lipton soup, and Jello accounts. (It's souper how Tom's career has jelled while mine has sankad.) B) Now for the smut. Remember Tom's last exploit of building a barn? Well here's a sequel to the story. I quote Judy as follows: "His (Tom's) urge to build is yet unsated. So we're joining forces with Scottand Joanna Creelman and sons on a venture including ten lakeside acres in Vermont and plans to build a hand hewn cabin thereupon. Tom and Scott have already felled and hewn 45 beams as a starter. (What a couple of Jack Armstrongs these two erstwhile campus leaders are.) We have promises of an assist from our neighbor, Bowie Duncan, who swelters regularly in our Connecticut sauna. The cabin will be within an hour of Hanover, so any carpentry majors or handy classmates will be welcome." Incidentally, Judy has just finished a children's book for Random House due to be published this spring. That's it folks, and thanks to all you wives who have cooperated so far.
