Here's good news for the New Year. Some 40 '17ers, classmates, wives, family members, and loyal widows have signed up for our Mighty 60th. In the East, Phil Evans, and on the West Coast, Herb Searles, please contact the ones in your area and bring them to Hanover with you, June 10-12. You will receive more detailed information through the "Sentry." Helen Brooks is assisting Arch Earle with that news and is also contacting every widow in the Class.
By the time you read this, Bob and AnitaScott will be enjoying the sunshine of Fort Lauderdale. Bob will soon present for your perusal the names of the nominating committee members. They, in turn, will submit for election at our June meeting the names of candidates for class offices for the next five years.
To make Fred Houghton happy in '77, can someone resurrect a picture of the Class at our 55th reunion and identify as many faces as possible? Freddie runs a ranch in Las Vegas (5446 West Smoke Ranch Road). As a sideline when the chips are low, he tells me, he writes for the local press.
Checks for class dues have been coming in more slowly. If you have not already done so, please send your $10. In addition to paying for your ALUMNI MAGAZINE subscription, this money provides partial funding of our memorial book program.
There are now about 88 of us to keep the news of the Class up to date. Keep well, keep in touch, and " '17 up" for 1977.
