Pat Horgan is living the good life in Gainesville, Fla. Pat is manager of consumer products for the GE Battery Division. He urges you to buy GE rechargeable batteries, as they pay his mortgage. When Pat looks for leisure, it's boating, fishing, and racing motorcycles, no less.
I don't recall Pat as an undergraduate "bikie" but I do remember Pete Nistad on a BSA, Fritz Weeman on a Triumph, WarrenCook on a Harley XLCH, and Bill Herron on a Harley Hog. While we're on the subject, I confess to owning a Triumph these days . . . and Marion flashes around on a moped.
Dr. Bill Adams is chief resident in plastic surgery at Mass General in Boston. He's living in Marblehead with four adopted children.
Don Klein, who is my replacement as your newsletter editor, informs me that you can expect to see a voluminous, fascinating newsletter in the very near future. You can send newsletter news to Don at 14 Helena Drive, Chappaqua, N.Y. 10514.
Dr. Dan Gould is one of the world's 1,232 certified nephrologists. He notes: "I haven't raised my fees because of that . . . yet." Don is in Montgomery, Ala. Dick Sellers is directing his energies toward pastoral counseling and teaching at Abbot-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He also announces the development of an intriguing new group called Family Dispute Services which specializes in resolving conflicts surrounding separation or divorce.
Jim Van Amburg has made a name for himself, already, in the field of secondary education. Jim is superintendent and principal of the Carlisle, Mass., school system. Jim received a Ph.D. in medieval literature at Columbia, and began his teaching career in Manhattan. He landed in Carlisle in part because he and wife Penny wanted to live in New England.
Congratulations to Steve Ayres who was admitted to the Connecticut bar in October. Steve lives in Stamford and specializes in the trusts and estates field. He announces, cryptically, "Family complete. One wife, two daughters. One dog. One Dartmouth type." Incidentally, Steve is also a lieutenant commander in the Naval Reserve at New Rochelle. Lawyer Wayne Beyer is safely back in Manchester, N.H., after clerking for Representatives Kynos (Maine) and Breckinridge (Kentucky) in Washington. Formerly from North Conway, Wayne's law firm is McLane, Graf and Greene.
That's all for now.
