As I read over this month's relayings, I am suddenly aware of how much of a gossip exercise this is. In late August 1979, let us begin by acknowledging that Dartmouth has proven, once again, that her students are ambitious, articulate, well-rounded, resourceful, careeroriented, and photogenic. Good show, you underlings.

Well, it would not read right if we did not remember, God bless, those who took the final waltz into marital bliss. Ted "If You Insist" Pratt wed Jamie McNeil on June 9 in Middleboro, Mass. The former Mr. Pratt is employed by the Mayflower Cooperative Bank in Middleboro, where the lovely couple resides. Brita Sardella is married to, I hope, John Reed 75. Brad Agry and Eric Jones '68 were ushers. Not many more details. John Glover married Mary Spencer '79, when, we are not sure. John received his M.B.A. from Tuck and — as the release goes — is employed by Somerset Importer Inc. How's my bent elbow? Tom Parnon was the fortunate wedder of Debbie Sortor '79. This news was received on June 21, along with mention that Thomas is employed by .Sykes Datatronics in N.Y.C.; about Debbie we are not informed. Last event on the wedding scene, viewed first-hand, was Louis StockbridgeJosselyn Ill's marriage to Patricia Slaven on August 25 in the famous, historic, and eventful (if you play golf) town of Winchendon, Mass. Everyone had the usual good time. Some of the wedding-goers were best man Todd Morris, usher Gordie Miles, bridesmaid Wendy Simila, Ringo, Bill Hutchinson, Tom "Classmate of the Month" Reinhart, Mark Mullen, John Haffenreffer and wife Laurie (a good late-night driver), Professor Goose "John" Gleason, Paul "Alien" McCarthy, Fred Kramer '77, and I know we missed someone — sorry. Pat promises that she'll continue to write the newsletters.

Of course, there are always the redeeming relayings of Scott Simonz, who wrote on June 12. I recently finished my second year of architecture school at the University of Pennsylvania and will be traveling [have already traveled would be more proper] to Europe for two months on a Dales Traveling Fellowship." Showing this relayer's ignorance: a what fellowship? Anyway, thanks, Monsieur Simonz.

By the way, that foreign flavor reminds us that we have some recent relayings from one of our "tentatine" classmates, but the U.S. intelligence agencies have requested that we refrain from printing these tidbits. And we certainly oblige. The classmate was studying in one of the battle-torn countries of the world.

Hooray for Hurst. Hanover, N.H., Coast Guard Ensign Robert L. Hurst recently (as of May 10) returned from an Alaskan fisheries patrol in the North Pacific Ocean and Bering Sea. Ensign Hurst undoubtedly learned much. He will let us know.

Stark Holekamp, better known as "Yougutta Butt," suffering from malnutrition, sent in a change of address; his new location: 2007 North Dixie Highway, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., 33305.

Rich Nichols, who hails from a whale of a city, New Bedford, Mass., and was a two-time all-American and double-D track record-holder, has been named an assistant track coach at Dartmouth. Rich is bypassing his third year of law school at the University of California to return to Hanover to do his thing.

From Joshua Warach, who mistakenly referred to himself as a '79, we heard: "I will receive my M.D. from the N.Y.U. School of Medicine in June 1979. I will begin my residency at the Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Tex., in July." Joshua also spent three months studying neurology in London at the National Hospital — "a superb experience." Remember the song Werewolves of London? Just a thought. Good luck. Doc.

Steve Kirsh, who asked, "Mark Brann, are you out there," successfully completed (hooray) the Indiana bar exam in February 1979 and graduated from Indiana University Law School in May 1979. Good twist, Steve. He is now associated with the law firm of Dann, Pecar, Newman, Talesnick & Kleiman in Indianapolis. Barrister Kirsh has a son (and a wife, we hope) about two years old, who understands the theory of the game (golf), but just can't break par. Thank you, Steve, and who is your wife? Hopefully not Mark Brann.

The founder, editor, and all-time all-star of the Black Praxis is working in N.Y.C. with Chemical Bank. Al Jones (told me to call him Alan R. Jones) is on loan from Chembank to the United Negro College Fund. By this reading, Jonesy will be at Wharton.

Another lawyer "barred" into the field is Frank Tezak. Frank took the Colorado bar and then took "a friend of mine from D Denver Plan (Ned) hiking on the Appalachian Trail. We hope to reach Hanover about October 1. Finally, I accepted an appointment to the Judge Advocate General Corps of the U.S. Navy. Starting in mid-October." Thank you, Frank; a busy schedule.

And finally, we wish luck to Jim Burns at Stanford earning his M.S.
