Doug Beall is working as a copy editor for Westview Press in Boulder, Colo. He is also completing a master's degree in Buddhist studies at Naropa Institute there. Doug was married three years ago to Heather Ferguson of Nova Scotia, who is working on her teaching certificate in elementary education while teaching at a local pre-school.
Much has happened of late to Peter Rufleth, who now is a resident physician in obstetrics at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va. Pete and his wife, the former Joan Gilbert, are the proud parents of Kirsten Lee, who was born December 1.
Thomas Kendall and his wife Nancy had their third child on November 10. They are residing in Auburn, Maine, where Tom is selling accounting systems and computers to small businesses.
Dan Cooperman has become engaged to Linda Schmidt (Smith '72). They will be married in Madison, Wise., on June 10. Dan is an attorney with McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen in San Francisco, and Linda is a geneticist in Santa Clara, Calif.
Class President Peter Heed and his wife recently moved into a new home on 12 acres of land in Dumbarton, N.H. Pete is trying murder cases for the Attorney General's Office in Concord.
Moving to Seattle in April is attorney PaulAhern, who will be associated with the firm of Lawrence, Gay & Moch. He would like to hear from any '72s in the area.
Bill Cunningham is a medical resident at Childrens Memorial Hospital in Chicago. His specialty is neonatology.
Recently married is Jim Coakley, who tied the knot with Rosemary Serviss in Metuchen, N.J., on September 23. Among those in attendance were Chuck Leer and his wife Mary, David Mechlin, David-James Carroll and LloydUcko and his wife Bunny. Jim works for the advertising agency of Richard K. Manoff, where he is a vice president and account supervisor for the National Car Rental and Fuji Film accounts. Rosemary is a creative supervisor and writer at Compton Advertising.
Ed Wisneski is presently assistant public relations director for the New York Jets. He was mentioned in a November issue of TheSporting News as being part of one of the better publicity staffs in the National Football League.
Also in the sports information field is EricEvans, who has become the editor of Nordic1980, a trade journal published in Brattleboro, Vt., for cross-country skiing.
From Paris, Craig Bentley writes that he is enjoying life there and working hard as the European representative for the Harris Bank. He has traveled extensively in his work, including visits to Belgium, Spain, and Portugal. In between junkets he returned to Chicago for the holidays and attended the Christmas luncheon here.
Also on the job scene, Brian Lothrop was named manager of the Reynolds & Son Inc. store in Barre, Vt. Robert Arnot has been active as a sports physician, working as the team doctor for the U.S. rowing and Nordic ski teams. He is also the consultant in sports psychology for the 1980 Winter Olympics, which will be held in Lake Placid, N.Y.
Stephen Borofsky has established the first legal clinic in New Hampshire, opening offices in Manchester and Nashua. John Sharer, also an attorney, is associated with the Washington, D.C., firm of Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan. He attended the ordination of Bill Roberts to the Episcopal priesthood on December 16 in Davenport, lowa, and writes that it was an extremely moving experience" for Bill, his wife Ingrid. their family, and friends.
In the arts, Robby Barnett has been featured in Time for his work with Pilobolus, a modern dance troupe which began at the College and has received national acclaim.
Joel Reader is now working in the corporate finance department of the New York investment firm of Rothschild, Unterberg, Towbin. Joel received a master's degree in French from Yale in 1974.
