The San Francisco Bay area seems to agree with Big Greeners. Word came from Stanford Business School that David Kreps has been appointed professor of decision sciences there. And Laurie Lieberman recently sent in a lengthy note about his activities there as assis- tant dean and admissions director. He wrote that he and his wife Moira are enjoying the good weather and company of other '72s in the vicinity Marc Victor, Dan Cooperman, and Bill Price. Laurie also ran into Steve Mahlum on a brief visit to the West Coast, and keeps in touch with Joe Davis, Wade Judge, and Jack Manning. Another Californian is Allen Lowry, who is living in Berkeley and working as an architect specializing in solar housing.
Dick Soule and his wife Jo Jayne recently became parents of Andrew Jayne, bom February 6. They are living in Brookfield, Mass. David Elsewood and his wife Julie have a son, David Jr., who will be a year old in July. Dave is a foreman with C&P Telephone Com- pany in Gaithersburg, Md.
Paul Ettari is living in Clarksburg, W.Va., and works for Dexter-Carpenter Coal Sales Corporation. He says he is "waiting for the country to wake up to the fact that increased coal use is one of the answers to our country's problems."
Dick Donohue and his wife Helen recently had their first child, a baby boy. Dick is an at- torney in Chicago with the firm of Baker and McKenzie. Also celebrating the birth of their first, a daughter Betsy born in February, are Doug Grossman and his wife Mary Jo.
Steve Kiely is an attorney in Salem, Mass., where he is the chief of the white collar crime unit of the Essex County district attorney's of- fice. Eric Alden is also practicing law and en- joying the scenery in Cheyenne, Wyo.
Now in Equador is John Musser, who works for Standard Fruit Company as a controller and chief financial officer. He notes that "political and economic conditions are a lot like the weather in New England; if you don't like it, just wait a minute for it to change." He and his wife Cammile both enjoy tropical liv- ing.
Back in Hanover is Alex Medlicott, who is practicing medicine at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, along with his wife Kristi.
Luis Colon is in Puerto Rico with Inter- national Paper Company, for which he is the assistant treasurer and controller. He wrote that Jim Harmon is now the controller for McGraw-Hill's nonpublishing divisions, that Larry Cohn is a lawyer in Hazelton, Pa., and that Paul Lausell is with his family's businesses, also in Puerto Rico. Steve Riggal is considering medical school, according to Luis.
Chip Carstensen has moved from Chicago to New York, where he now is working in the field of venture capital.
Jeff Stimson, a uranium geologist in Denver, travels throughout the western states. Stefan Mattlage and his new wife Jeanne now live in La Crosse, Wise., where he is manager of production and inventory control for Norplex, a subsidiary of Signal Corporation. They plan to vacation with William Babney and his wife, who also live in Denver.
