Fred and Debbie Pabst along with daughter Miranda were among those who experienced the dust blanket spread by Mount St. Helens last year while running their horse farm in Buckley, Wash., near Mt. Rainier. Fred reported that one of their three-year-old horses looked very promising for the Kentucky Derby but unfortunately chipped a knee.

Derek Wolshonak of New York City was traveling a great deal last year. He choreographed two shows for Sitman Cruise Lines (Los Angeles) and also went to the Mexican Riviera with them. Last summer he danced with the American Dance Machine in Japan, following a performance at Wolftrap with Ann Reinking (All That Jazz, etc.). If you come across reruns of a "Camera Three" special called "Paul Draper: On Tap," tune in and watch Derek at work.

Last November, Motorola Inc. of Schaumburg, Ill., announced that Peter Lawson had joined its law department as associate general attorney. Peter moved to Motorola from Baxter Travenol Laboratories, Inc., where he was a senior attorney. He lives with his wife and two children in Deerfield, Ill. Also last November, Ron Weiss of Longmeadow, Mass., represented Dartmouth at the inauguration of Beverly W. Miller as fourth president of Western New England College in Springfield, Mass. At last word, Bill and Susie Blanchard were in Gainesville, Fla., where Bill was an assistant professor of pediatric cardiology at the Shands Teaching Hospital, University of Florida. Bill was received as a fellow in the American Academy of Cardiology and is also a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

At this point, the annual Alumni Fund drive is going full bore. As you dig deep, remember also to pull out a pencil and paper and send along your news to share with the rest of the class!
