Greetings to all. By now for almost everyone, except those south of the equator, fall will have fallen. Here in Connecticut all the leaves have left, we have our first wood for the winter, and a fire is going as these stirring words are penned. The football team has come along, and it looked as though all would be well after all, except that the Elis didn't read the right script. Now it appears that our chances for a title are slim indeed.

And on to the news. That chatge to the altar continues unabated. Ned Brooks and Louise Gullans were wed in September in New Canaan. Ned is with Merrill Lynch White Weld Capital Groups in New York, and Louise is a senior designer for GN Associates, also in New York. Also wed in September was Baxter Lanius to Rosemary Ripley. Baxter is an associate with Shearman Sterling, and Rosemary is an associate with L. F. Rothschild, Unterberg, and Towbin, both in New York.

Our most recent class mini-reunion was held a few weeks ago at Hanover for the Harvard game. We got sabotaged because the beer didn't show up until Sheldon Prentice made a personal pilgrimage over to the Village Store. At both the game and the tent were more than 20 '72s, which was sensational. Bill Pollock probably came the greatest distance, followed closely by Jack Manning and Kurt Woodhouse. Dave and Fran Friend were there, and it appears that kid number two, due on Christmas Day, is well on the way.

Not too many letters this month, which is both good and bad news. Bad, because so few of Us star in this space, and good because I can stop now. Until next month.
