I highly recommend vacationing at Bethand Frank Hight's Guana Beach Resort, Guana Cay, PO 474, Marsh Harbor, Abaco, Bahamas. As Frank wrote in the recent class newsletter, he and Beth have hopped from one of the remote Out Islands of the Bahamas to the only resort on Great Guana Cay, the longest of the Abaco cays just seven miles from tip to tip. Consider it your fantasy island: your plane lands at Marsh Harbour, and you board the "Plane Boat" that whisks you to your blue lagoon setting of laid-back tropical atmosphere, excellent food, comfortable accommodations all set in a backdrop of lush tropical foliage, native flavor, and clear blue and green seas. They have only eight rooms and seven villas, an intimate lounge, and three cozy dining areas. The bar overlooks the picturesque harbour. Most of the island's 81 residents are descendants of loyalists who left the States after the American Revolution. Their houses are reminiscent of old New England, as are many of their customs. They are excellent boat builders, carpenters, farmers, and fishermen who provide a variety of local delicacies for the Hights' menu. If you enjoy fishing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing, and beachcombing or just want to get away to the most beautiful of the Out Islands of the Bahamas, you ought to consider Guana Beach Resort. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, it is the last spot of land until Africa. I wish Frank and Beth great success in their new venture.

After 15 years overseas, Andy Bartlett plans to move back to Squaw Valley, Calif., in January and explore the practice of law. In August Andy married Roz Owens from Sydney, Australia, with his brother Joe '74 serving as best man and Peter Jennings '63 providing moral support.
I recently talked to Steve Reid, who with wife Alice, had a mini-reunion with Gabriela and Roy Halstead in Brussels in early September. Steve said that they were able to take a trip to the top of the Jungfrau Joch in perfect weather, a breathtaking spectacle. In addition to the sight-seeing, as theater buffs Steve and Alice managed to catch Macbeth at the reopening of the Zurich Opera House and Cats and Starlight Express while in London. After 16 years in Hawaii and a thriving insurance practice, with a chance to travel to some exciting locales, the Reids remain content on their island paradise.
