One of the highlights of writing this column has been the opportunity to contact classmates who were once very much part of my life in college. Keith (Bo)Schenberger and I, for instance, rode many a mile together back and forth to Hanover from our small hometowns in Pennsylvania. (He is from Red Hill, about 15 minutes from my hometown, Pottstown.) Keith and his wife, Ann, live in Cogan Station, Pa., with their daughter, Molly, who will be four in November. Keith is a physician with an expertise in rheumatology. He has his own practice in Williamsport, Pa., and Ann works with him in his medical practice.
Fortunately for me, Keith and his wife had just returned from a two-week vacation on Cape Cod, some of which was spent with several other members of our class:
Bruce R. Williamson was there with his \vife, Karen. Bruce and Karen live in Etna, N.H. He owns his own construction company and is designing homes in the Hanover area. The name of the company is Domus, Inc. He and Karen have a daughter, Emily, who is five. Karen is the director of the College Pottery in Norwich, Vt.
Bo also reports that John Lamond is practicing law in Lowell, Mass., and lives with his wife, Ann, in Andover, Mass. Steve Larmon also lives in the Andover area and is a physician specializing in hematology and oncology. Steve is married to Jane Larmon, and they have a child, Ann, who is about one year old.
Thomas Treadwell and his wife, Meredith, were also vacationing on Cape Cod. Meredith and Tom are graduates of the Dartmouth Medical School, class of 1977. They have two children, Hillary, seven, and Nathan, four. Tom is a physician specializing in infectious diseases and practices in Framingham, Mass. Meredith is a family practitioner in Worster, Mass., and is associated with the University of Massachusetts.
Also on Cape Cod were Robert McAllister, who is a lawyer in New York City and works with Ghase Manhatten Bank in "operations." Bob's wife, Marjorie, is also a lawyer and has her own general practice. They reside in Greenwich Village. They have one child, Julia, who was born in March.
Congratulations to Charlies Ziese, who has joined Financial Guarantee Insurance Company as first vice president and director of the investment banking group. Prior to joining Financial Guarantee, Charles managed the investment banking and new product development areas at Bond Investors Guarantee Insurance Company. He has also had management experience working for the regional public finance offices for Smith, Barney and E.F. Hutton in Houston, Tex. Charles currently resides in Shorthills, N.J.
Mark Mahoney reports that he is still practicing law with the law firm of Jennings, Strausa, and Salmon in Phoenix, Ariz. Mark's practice is primarily civil litigation.
I also talked to Richard Ranger, our class newsletter editor, who is presently living in Goleta, Calif., a town near Santa Barbara. Rick works for ARCO Gas and Oil Company and is regulatory and permitting director. Rick's task is to secure permits and approval from state, federal, and local authorities for large offshore projects. His wife, Cathy, and he presently are involved in renovating their home, and this summer Rick has had the pleasure of teaching his son, Owen, age three, to swim.
