Our early August S.O.S. to class officers begging for news for this column was not very well timed, especially since under the fine but very strict new editorial regime the October deadline was August 14th, with no extra weekend allowance. But we hope to receive official greetings from Dal Dalrymple, Al Frey, Nate Whiteside, and Leo Ungar for the November issue.

From Red Tillson a speedy response: "News? Still able to get around but with a cane. Have just acquired a hearing aid for one ear. First, it was eyes up to contacts in both eyes, then teeth to two dentures, and now finally hearing. Next it will be both ears and I will be completely wired for sound and sight! Hope this reaches you in time to use. My best to all the class." Red's catalogue of the infirmities of our "golden years" may cover the majority of his classmates, but his cheerful acceptance helps make the whole thing bearable.

October in New Hampshire: foliage and football (perhaps a winning season?). Any members of the '20 family visiting the Hanover area will be warmly welcomed by the Holbrooks at Eastman. Our phone: 603/863- 1234.
