I have spent the last two days in search of a lost client. He knew when the hearing was scheduled. I talked to his brother. I talked to his employer. I talked to his best friend. I even talked with his ex-wife. I arrived at the hearing on time and waited in the Federal Courthouse for two hours. Finally, last night at midnight, I got a long distance call (you know what I mean). I guess Morocco is better than the Atlanta Penitentiary.

George Ledyard is presently an instructor of Aikido. He has his fourth-degree black belt. He and his wife, Trina '75, have a new baby who joins Brittany, 4.Richard was born in August. Trina is a program analyst for the hospital systems division of the University of Washington. George is in his third year as an instructor of Aikido. (As you call recall, George was formerly a buyer for Eddie Bauer.) They live in Bellview, Wash. George talks frequently to Bill Downey who lives in Boston and is currently starting a business to build and distribute weightlifting machines of his own design.
Jack Martin writes that unfortunately the charms of Venice are already starting to pale. He's tiring of European culture andlongs for those good old ail-American pleasures. He writes that he would swap any fresco in Italy for .an Frito in America, especially one of those new ones with all the artificial flavoring. "If I see one more wornout gondola, I'll scream! Ralph "Corky" Eannace reports that he represents Utica, N.Y., as the Republican Assemblyman for the 116 th District. He is completing his first term in the Assembly and is preparing for his first re-election campaign. Eiected in 1986, he's chairman of the freshman caucus.
Startling news from Washington, D.C.! The United States Peace Corps has requested that I announce the disappearance of Margaret Winthrop. As you recall, she had joined the Peace Corps to go to Bolivia. She disappeared suddenly with no forwarding address for her Town & Country subscription. She was teaching the native Bolivians to grow cherry tomatoes.
Kim Underhill has just moved from Oklahoma City. He leaves a job with Tenneco where he was a geological engineer and begins a new career as a litigating attorney in Grand Rapids with the firm of Varnum, Riddering, Schmidt & Howlett.
Bill Beck is marketing director at Ensign-Bickford Fiber Optic Co. He lives in Grandby, Conn., with his wife, Christina, who is an abstract painter and had her New York debut at Ceres Gallery in Manhattan in July.
