Several copies of the 1963 Alumni Magazine were found by your secretary, probably because son Lee was a senior that year. The class notes written capably by secretary Bill Rotch reveal that Frank Robin served as treasurer, and Jerry Low was class agent.

Elections to public office were the order of the time: Tom Mclntyre was established in Washington after his Senate victory in New Hampshire; Bob Barry carried New York's 27th District in Westchester and Putnam counties to be re-elected to his third term in Congress; and Sam Dillon won election to the Maryland House of Delegates in a campaign that involved more than 5,000 house calls.

Twenty-five years ago Dick Rush delivered a talk on "Art as an Investment" in Peabody, Mass.; Bill Leonard, who masterminded the CBS television election coverage in November, was the subject of a Bell feature column on his role in this battle of the network giants; Dave Camerer was still getting mileage out of "Nine Saturdays Make a Year"; Col. Don Otis was planning to retire from the Marine Corps after 25 years to become one of the earliest retirees in the class; and the new Hopkins Center was the focus on campus. The Co-op advertised Dartmouth pure silk bow ties (with Indian head design) for $2.50 plus $.30 shiping.

Back to today, Frank and Twila Danzig were enchanted hearing President Freedman in Pasadena and were joined by Bradand Mary Joy Petersen and Ed Skowrup. Frank reports the Petersens are looking forward to a trip to England and Ed Skowrup continues to enjoy his work as an investment counselor with great vigor and enthusiasm. Keep it up, Ed. How about sharing some investment strategy with your classmates?

I met at the Hanover Inn for lunch with Fran Fenn the day after he served as moderator of the Brownsville, Vt., town meeting. President Fenn reported that the class executive committee overwhelmingly approved the plan to recognize the 1937 Honor Award recipients at the College. We will be able to fulfill the Hood Museum's need for an attractive bench near its East Wheelock Street entrance which will provide a prominent place for our Honor Award plaque. The details and the criteria for the award will be given in The Mint Bag as space here is limited.

A letter from Richard W. Bankart to Fran thanked the class for "the extraordinary gift you bestowed on my parents." He added, "Your recognition of Dad's years as class secretary plus Mom's contributions in Katie's Corner in The Mint Bag are representative of the highest ideals of the College." A card from Katie and Bib said you and your committee have made two people happy beyond all imagination.

We regret to report the death of John G.Doukas in Concord on January 14 after a long illness, and the death of Colin Davidson Marr on December 14.

The class extends its sympathy to PhilSwain. On a trip to Australia his wife, Doris, died there on February 17.
