More news about the 55 th Reunion. After three days in Hanover previously reported, we moved to the Spaulding Inn in White-field, N.H. When your scribe and spouse had to cancel at the last minute, Bill Hitchcock filled in and reports the following.

After luncheon Wednesday, 26 of us drove north. It was a hot afternoon, 97° as we went through Littleton, and we all headed for the pool on arrival. The Inn hosted a cocktail party followed by an ex- cellent dinner accompanied by lots of table talk. Cool mountain breezes made sleeping comfortable.

The next day we selected bowling on the green, golf, tennis, swimming, or just sitting around and talking under the shade trees. A welcome thunderstorm that afternoon broke up the heat wave. After dinner, we took over the living room for an informal session at which Pete Hart briefed us on the very complicated situation in the Middle East and answered questions later a very interesting evening. Though the greatest brains of '33 were assembled in one room, we were unable to solve the questions Pete posed. After breakfast on Friday we left feeling it was an excellent sojourn.

Finally, the class laureate, Laura, wife of Ted Allen, wrote this poem to be enjoyed as the curtain came down on our fabulous 55 th Reunion.

I know that I shall never see A finer class than Thirty-three. These men to Dartmouth College came. They sought not wealth or greater fame. An education was their aim. Classmates and college they hold dear. Though they are scattered far and near, A better world these men have made. A strong foundation they have laid. Those loved ones gone are truly missed And from the class their greatest wish Would be world peace and happiness.
