John Einsidler reports that there will be a mini-reunion in Hanover, October 13-15, the weekend of the Yale game. Also in the realm of class business, head agent Craig Bently has our Alumni Fund drive running ahead of last year's record-breaking rate. More about both subjects next time.
Ken Leavitt has been named president and CEO of the Granitech Corporation, a manufacturer of stone building materials, in Fairfield, lowa. Ken left a position as business manager of a workstation group at Digital Equipment in Maynard, Mass., to accept the job with Granitech. Ken and his wife, Tina, have three children, and along with John Jurkovich, Rick Detwiler, and yours truly, earned an advanced degree at SMU here in Dallas after Dartmouth.
Dan and Virginia Holland are living in Redmond, Wash., where Dan is district director of U.S. Customs. Dan says customs work in Washington is more varied and interesting than in his two previous assign- ments, which were Anchorage, Alaska, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, and they love the Seattle area.
Wayne Scherzer is moving from Los Angeles to San Francisco to continue his role as dance captain for the musical LesMiserables. Wayne's job entails keeping the choreography consistent from show to show and being the main stand-in for all six of the leading male dancers. Dave Schifani is still teaching computer science in the Albuquerque Public School system, and is married and has two kids. Dave reports that Luis Colon is comptroller for Johnson's Wax in Racine, Wis.
Finally, on a sad note, I regret to report the death of Adam Szczypek at his home in Boston in March. An obituary will be found in this or a later issue.
