The mail has recently brought us news of changes, both personal and professional, in the lives of several classmates. Gerry Billow recently wed Dr. Ilene M. Gold near Boston. Gerry is now a partner in the law firm of Posternak, Blankstein and Lund and Ilene is an adolescent psychiatrist at Charles River Hospital in Wellesley.

Following in the footsteps of such early fellows as Alexander Graham Bell, Andrew Carnegie, and Martin Van Buren is KinleyLarntz, who has been named a fellow of the American Statistical Association. Kinley is professor of applied statistics at the University of Minnesota. ASA fellows serve in government, industry, and academia developing scientific applications in the medical, physical, economic, and social sciences.

Joe Alviani has added another honor to his long list. A lawyer and former Massachusetts secretary of economic affairs, Joe has been named the senior advisor to the board of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council. Meanwhile, David Sides has been named vice president of marketing by the York Insurance Group, making good use of his 17 years of marketing and sales management experience with major insurance companies. Congratulations to all.

Various class leaders have been hard at work on our behalf. Kudos to Sam Ostrow and his group of class agents, for 1967 well surpassed our goal for the 1989 Alumni Fund. This was no small feat after last year's reunion stretch. Special thanks go to our growing group of leadership donors and the large number who faithfully support the fund each year.

Paul Killebrew is already deep into the preparations for our 2.5 th Reunion, now only two and a half years away! Paul is looking for both regional chairmen from the Midwest and West, and volunteers who want to be part of the planning. Preliminary discussions make it sound like it will be an incredible event, so be sure to let Paul know if you are willing to help.
