Gratitude can never be redundant, especially to us at or near 90-something. Therefore, to classmates and 1922 Ladies, congratulations once more for your splendid support of the 1991 Alumni Fund. '22 welcomes Mrs. David A. Holden of London into our class family. She and her husband, David 'Bl, were married May 25. She is a native of Nova Scotia, an English university graduate, and a paralegal affiliate with the British Broadcasting Corporation. David is the son of George A Holden of Cranford, N.J., and wife Sally (Dodd), daughter of our Jackand Fran Dodd. Student records show David majored and received a proficiency citation in English, was chief announcer for the college radio station, and an officer in Tri-Kap fraternity. In London he is associated with the Index on Censorship, a global political and environmental organization. His collection of short stories entitled This is What HappensWhen You Don't Pay Attention was published last year and he is now finishing a novel. He is a loyal Dartmouth alumnus and he and Anne attended the tenth reunion of the '81 class in Hanover last June. For marriage role models, David and Anne can look to grandparents Jack and Fran, who were married for 65 years. We're sorry to report, though, that Fran, a most gracious lady, passed away on September 2.
Robert Burgess Jr., of Delray Beach, Fla.; John L. Norcross, Springfield, Mass.; and Ralph K. Spotts, Los Alamos, N.M., have left us in sorrow. Obituaries will follow.
