Ed Hanauer reported that he was seeking a six-foot lobster in Arizona worthy of the impressive Kirk Baron recipe Ed won by his on-the-money forecast of the price of crude oil; however, the only cleaning up in the commodities market which he'd been cited to accomplish—because of his perspicuity would be with a broom and a barrel. It is hoped that the plans of Sara and Ed to visit Hanover in early fall will have included our mini-reunion.

Bill Marsh acknowledged receiving the prize and citation (shared with Bill Wendell and Roland Peterson), for forecasting a price of $100 for a barrel of crude oil, by sending me a copy of the Southern Farmer's Almanac, an excellent periodical to which I have taken a great liking.

Wallace Rusterholtz, having spent much of WWII in the Middle East, and having collected coins of the region during his stay, expressed his pleasure in the prize he received for his forecast of the Dow Jones Industrials: "Never was anyone so rewarded for being so wrong." The prize was foreign banknotes issued long before inflation in the respective countries rendered them worthless. Rusty and his cousin safely returned from reunion to his country home in Chautauqua via the White and Green Mountains and the Adirondacks.

It is rumored that Ed Picken will have an athletic field in Troy, N.Y., named after him in honor of his years of service to the Troy School district. We'll follow up and report.

During a tour of Greece last spring with members of his family, Art Spiegel was hit by a kidney infection which caused a week's hospitalization in Athens and another of two weeks, including surgery, in Albuquerque. Back on the job by late July, this classmate doesn't stay down long.

Does anyone out there have a detailed record of costs in Hanover during our four years there? Primarily room, board and tuition, but also those such as train fare from points west, medical treatment and insurance, Outing Club, other extra-curricular activities will be welcome.
